*Arin:* "We're only as strong as the weakest link!" *Dan:* "Oh, yeah? And who might that be?" *Arin:* (defensively) "Uh, I don't know!" *Also Arin:* _Immediately falls into a pit of spikes and is crushed by a boulder_
since this is the most liked comment, maybe they will see this, there is a glitch that if one person grabs the feet of the other and then he spams jump they will legitimately be able to fly over any obstacle, its like the knuckles glitch in sonic boom but less predictable
@@googiegress i am actually serious, it makes the game easier, I feel bad they have tried so hard and nothing came from it, I just want to help my boys.
*choose your character* Dan: stabbed in the ass more than usual, being smooth with controls, offers advice. Arin: is consistent with dying first, chaotic with controls, supportive.
Arin: "We're only as fast as our weakest link." Dan: "And who might that be?" Arin: *falls into spikes, then a boulder pushes him deeper into said spikes*
When you see Arin getting closer and closer to the mine cart while Dan is trying to figure out what to do, and you just know Arin is going to nudge the cart and make it speed away from them.
Yeah this is the first time I'm getting really angry because they're both not pay attention to shit, I do wish I could enjoy this the way they're enjoying
@@Arsenicsquirrel I feel it could have been easier if they just let the cart go, then jumped over the gap and went over the spikes, as the cart would be there as a sort of platform. I don't know why they didn't think of this as Arin already did it once, when they messed up and he was on his own. 🤷♂️
@@benem807 the thing is that I don't think that the cart is guaranteed to stop on the spikes to make a platform... I think in the time we saw this happen may have been a one off, but I do agree that they should have at least tried it again to make sure
Omg I almost started to cry I was laughing so hard when Arin said, “we are only as fast as the weakest link” Dan, “oh yea and who might that be?” And the action to follow... just pure comedy gold xD
29:00 Dan: “Why do you never listen to me?” Arin: “When do I never listen to you!?!” D: Dan: “Always-Just Please-“ Wow, Dan just went full disappointed father on Arin.
@Michael Pauly Seeing as Barry has long since left the channel to do his own stuff and hasn't come back for any reason I highly doubt that is the case...though I wish it were true. Things just haven't been the same since he and Ross departed and Steam Train/Grumpcade got axed.
@@JoystickStereo As far as I can remember of Ross's streams, pre-quarantine, he can still show up at the office, but he ultimately doesn't have any affiliation with the company itself, and he kind of just does his own thing, with people even forgetting he's there, closing up while he's still in his office.
I'm pretty sure just _last_ episode I saw Arin use it early on, but then later in the episode they were like "why is it so hard to die when you're trying to??" So, Arin knows, at least
11:15 - "Ohhhh, well, this is a fine mess of turnips we're in!!" Ahhh, thank you so much for playing this game! I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. ♡
I don't think any of these levels were designed to be more than single player tbh. Every single level looks like having a second player makes it way harder.
I've never played this, but would it work if one of the players kind of "blocked" the cart from rolling while the other situated themselves and the carrot?
This series has largely just been dan doing something incredible, and them arin trying to replicate it with all the bravado he can manage, and then buffing it horribly.
It's a shame the game didn't tweak anything for two players and just left it as one player level design/physics, seems like that's the cause of most of the difficulty in the later levels.
Heave-Ho has exactly the opposite problem, all the later levels are balanced for a group and a single player doesn't have enough weight to trigger some of the puzzles.
How long until they bring back the totally real, actual history of the Qumran caves made by the man himself, Leigh Daniel Avidan. Edited to fix the legend’s name.
Arin: "i'll be the deadweight" [is immediately impaled] somehow its even funnier when the prediction is correct than when opposite thing to their prediction happens
19:26 ok so it looks like the reason why this happened is because dan's character got hit by the stalactite and in the same frame in which that occurred it also glitched to the right at ridiculous velocity, hitting arin so hard both their playermodels started glitching out
If you watch it at 0.25x you can see the stalactite fly straight over into Arin after it hits Dan, utterly blasting his body before Dans corpse snapped over to it and they danced their way into the hole. Probably de-sync issues since only Arin saw it.
Homie Slice Man is definitely the comic relief of the Avengers. Like, some poor lil kid from the make-a-wish foundation who they made an honorary Avenger, but then he actually recovered from his illness and grew up into a pot-smoking young adult, and now everyone would feel horrible about removing him from the team again, so they just let him sit in during meetings and otherwise help old ladies across the street as an Avenger and whatnot.
@@maiabones Sure, because with artistic vision there is only one way to draw/animate something. For a single example, it could be an animation of them cooking, and can end with them blowing up the kitchen.
That Fastball reference launched me back in time 20 years. Fitting for this series because I got Now That's What I Call Music (that had that song on it) in my Easter Basket when it first came out ! Ps Ending the video with Arin being reamed by a mining cart really wrapped it up nicely for me.
@@MikeV-oc6vz it was a pretty decent album altogether. Maybe that's the nostalgia speaking. I know I'm not sure you'd get away with putting a band like Cherry Poppin Daddies on a mainstream album without raising a few eyebrows
this entire gameplay is honestly so beautiful, and helps me go to sleep at night. i’m not even being funny, i literally play this specific gameplay when i’m showering or sleeping. :)
The requirement: *literally just roll into the trampoline for forward momentum* The Grumps: *constantly trying to jump onto the center of the trampoline*
Arin: Proves you can beat the level without the cart. Dan & Arin: Continue killing themselves every time the cart gets stuck without trying to keep going without it.
I just kept thinking about PlayPals constantly jumping/kicking eachother over holes because they screwed up. Dan & Arin play like they'll be punished for not using stuff.
