Cave of Mind - Howl's Moving Castle (Studio Ghibli), composed by Joe Hisaishi Played at A Night in Fantasia 2004 Performed by Eminence Symphony Orchestra Conducted by: William Motzing Sydney, Australia www.eminenceonl...
:( The scene when Sophie is traveling through the dark emptiness between the present and Howl's past and shes crying and the dog peers back to look at her and she says... "Sorry but I can't seem to stop crying," Soooo sad.
The trumpet soloist is amazing. He gets such a sweet sound from that instrament. It is reminecent of a french horn, but it has got it's definite trumpet sound. And when all of them play together! The blend of the insterments. It is beautiful. Thanks for uploading this!
I personally watch a movie 3 times. First time for fun and the story, second time, equally as fun, I pay attention to the music and get hooked, 3rd time I watch the characters really closely and see how they act in the situations they're placed.
i love this... i fall asleep with the dvd titles on now and again just because this is a truely beautiful song, so relaxing... when people say they have their favorite song/tune... this is mine. :)
I'm about to cry... I was surprised that an orchestra is playing scores from animated films, but it's great, since Joe Hisaishi is one heck of a composer. So beautiful...
Man, that trumpet solo at the beginning... love that. Love all of it, love the film. Myazaki's films (in general films from Studio Ghibli) are so so much better than Disney films.
This is probably the best song I've ever heard, and not just when it comes to movie music. It has everything. Joy and sadness. Anyone who doesn't like this have no feelings.
Well there are similarities between a lot of Joe Hisaishi's songs. It's just his style, which makes it really cool. There is a particular song I heard and it was literally a mix of several movies together. "Oh it's howls.. no wait.. it's laputa..porco no wait .... woah" :p
Having heard a lot of music, it is really hard to say what's the greatest ever... but I don't ever recall watching RU-vid with my hairs standing and falling and the blood cells inside me moving around to the music... nor do I recall verbally muttering "wow" at the sound of music like I did over the last 6.5 minutes. Wow, just wow.
There's something enchanting about this music, I can't quite fathom it... Then again, "Howl's Moving Castle" is an enchanting movie, and its music is a part of the spell :) Beautiful.
@PeterSanCb : additional Information: The original soundtrack was recorded by New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Joe Hisaishi with Miroslav Kejmarwith, trumpeter, in Japan. But this trumpeter is really nice!
Wow. When I saw this part of the movie, it didn't move me at all but listening to this song on it's own is even more moving. I love Howl's Moving Castle.
It's so beautifal u.u; I feel like crying. I love anime films with awsome scores and Howl's Movie Castle is no exception. Music like this is what makes going to see an orchestra and see a movie worth seeing. (cries)
This genre of music, if it represents a trend, can bring a new generation of music lovers to the symphony halls. It is nice to see Hisaishi's music making inroads into the symphony in general. It is my hope to interest symphony orchestras in the US to partake in this phenomena and grow their audiences for a stable, secure existence throought the 21st century.
This is amazing, I love it... I wish my band had strings ( which would make us an orchestra but any who...) so we could play this, its so pretty and light it makes me fell so good inside :)
This part is after Sophie enters the portal almost at the end of the movie when she gets separated from Calcifer, Markl, and the Witch of the Waste. She sees Howl during his childhood and the falling star which is Calcifer.
God that solo at the beginning is such beautiful writing.....God it sounds like Hisashi was like "You, principal trumpet. Find the heavyiest, darkest sounding, largest bore orchestral horn ever made and we'll see if it's good enough for what I want".
eminence is mainly games and anime music :D We did a 'world of john williams' as well.. playing movie theme songs :) I've posted up the some of the older anime clips, you'll find other clips around youtube that are much more recent :)
Hisaishi's music is really good at creating world's for the imagination to thrive in. His music is rich and flows beautifully. He also has amazing range, as this song is quite different from Chateau le Ambulant, while retaining the same quality.
