Fighting Fish Fishman specifically, the fish that were used in the water around the coliseum and found in the waters near green bit. Edit: Apologies for the confusion lol
@@chefgreasypaw7816 a typo is when you accidentally write something wrong, for example if you write apble but you meant apple. I think the guy I responded to made a typo bc "the fish that were used in the water" doesn't really make much sense.
Don't worry, Robin will get her moment to show how frightening she can be. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life.
Seeing Cavendish hurting Dellinger and him not being able to comprehend what just happened is sick, like, dellinger is really fast and then he just gets fucked like that
Robin probably got intentionally sidelined into a support for much of the show to prevent her from overshadowing the rest of the strawhats, especially Zoro and Sanji, the crew's main fighters. She was introduced as the mysterious partner of Crocodile who effortlessly knocked Sanji flying and disarmed Zoro in her introduction and easily bodied Pell, the strongest warrior of Alabasta, while mocking him. When she joined a lot of reactors thought she'd be one of main power fighters among the crew. But she got hit with the "Boss turned into playable character" syndrome.
I think people forget she still needs to be physically strong. You could see that in thriller bark she wasn't strong enough to properly move the zoro zombie. These opponents will be even stronger than that. And her spawned limbs make her real body take damage so she still needs to be careful.
Sorry man, Robin was always like this. 90% of the time, she can either one-shot her opponents or is completely useless against them. I can name you 5 characters in the Alabasta arc that she couldn't beat. Possibly more.
The reason Dellinger wears high heels and acts feminine, is because since he was a part of the crew as a baby he was mostly raised by Giolla. Also his favorite food is melon.
As intimidating as Pika looks, Zoro was never once in any real danger. Everyone else is stuck in life or death battles. Meanwhile, Zoro is casually wondering "how can I kick his ass in a way that sticks?"
Technically Robin subdued Pell (and probably one or two others) in Alabasta, but other than that I agree her abilities were underutilized since all she does are submission holds. I don't like how her abilities get used next in this arc, but there's much better stuff to come in future at least, distant though it will be. Also, Rebecca survived Hakuba's attack in the Coliseum because she used observation haki and per Sabo she was the only person there who deflected it in time.
I feel like you miss understood what Bellamy was doing. He knew that unless Luffy knocked him out, the parasite string that Doffy implanted in him would cause him to continue getting in the way of the actual fight between Luffy, Law and Doffy. And since Luffy kept saying "I'm not going to punch Bellamy" he decided that the only way Luffy could knock him out would be if he decided to pick a fight himself, "sticking to principles" he doesn't really have, hoping that would be enough
15:56 The reason Rebecca wasn't cut is because thanks to Kyros training her, she was able to semi-evade Hakuba's attack. It was her skill, not luck, that saved her.
Nah, you’re not alone with the robin take at the end of the video. She pretty much gets sidelined in battles, although she’s so capable and deadly with her devil fruit. I think skypia was literally the last time, she got a decent fight up until the point you are
Thats becouse Robin would actualy be to op in a fight. Her opening move tends to be snapping the neck or spine. 9 times out of ten if Robin were to fight and her powers dont work she loses
@@ttttq124I feel like if robin became really physically strong, she would be insanely busted cause the limbs she forms are her own. Imagine if she was just ripped and could clutch basically anyone
She is only deadly against random soliders and other weak enemies (so far). If the person is strong is strong, she just can't do anything about it. I remember when she tried to stop the Zoro zombie in thriller bark and she couldn't. I mean, she even hurt her hands when she carried the fat guy in skypiea. She's more of a crowd control type of fighter.
17:50 I think we are a lot of OP fans who love this as well! Because Robin has been the demon child who *struggles* to survive, and she has been the "damsel in distress" during Enies Lobby. Since then, and especially since the 2 years training, she has been able to stand up for herself to *live*, not simply survive. She fights back for others, she does her job without having to look behind her back... she is more free!
Bellamy: I'm gonna stick to my principles Also Bellamy: *Abandoned his principles when Luffy confirmed Skypea's existence* Also Bellamy: *Quits pirating after getting one shotted by Luffy again*
The amount of side charaters Oda created here in Dressrosa is astounding. He truly is gifted with a unique trait of creativity. Every arc he out preform himself from the previous arc.
No Jack, you're right. Robin is very sparingly used for her fighting ability. Her last true one-on-one fight was with Yama in Skypiea, a manga chapter originally released in Feb 2003. Her next one-on-one fight would be against [redacted] in a manga chapter released in August 2021.
Ngl if I was robin I would just start powerlifting and learning armament haki. Imagine 10 buff haki arms strangling an enemy and they can’t even dodge it or outrun it cuz it sprouts on them
Rebecca surviving Cavendish in Block D is an example of how specialisation matters in One Piece: she was the only one who survived because her fighting style is all about defence and evasion, which is exactly what was needed in that specific situation It's the same as how Barto won by surviving the King Punch in Block B, except more about skill rather than just devil fruit ability. The point being, sometimes having the strongest defence is the key to victory Burgess and Luffy won by using force, Barto and Rebecca by surviving, Sabo by sabotaging everybody else xD (very appropriate considering his name)
I know you finished this arc by now There is a panel in the manga later I don’t think they show in the anime. He is painting his own, jolly Roger by candlelight in a small room. He is moving onto his own thing and being his own person.
It's Not His. Bellamy Essentially Quits The Pirate Life. At least On The Seas. Instead He Helps Other Pirates Out and Designs Their Jolly Rogers And Stuff.
@@nervosuu You said "He is painting his own jolly roger". That's what the other guy corrected because he's painting jolly roger for others, not his own.
Oh yeah Robin (specifically her ability) gets underused. Best example is right here where she completely shuts down Cavendish. He's not a power type like Zoro but this means she can pretty much shut down anyone who doesn't have a fruit that works well on her like Rubber or Knife body, but the ability is just so versatile especially if you could add haki to it. Isn't it anything she can see she can effect? I know a blind man who can apparently see enough to be an admiral. Cough, sorry, you asked.
30 seconds in and he already hits me with the "Machi-vis-hey"... I was happy he was down for the count so you didn't have to name drop anymore... Why..!?
I definitly agree about Robin getting nerfed. She used to be stupidly broken, just snapping everyone's bones but now she barely does anything anymore. Even her giant feet stomping on enemies seems weaker than snapping everyone's spines and necks in a row
Can't seem to believe why Jack is surprised about Dellinger when he is yapping about Violet giving recap about all executives and their powers. That's the reason why recap is needed for you Jack because you always forget. lmao
You're right in that Robin has been underutilized when it comes to fighting. The guy she fought on Fishman Island was barely one step above fodder, and even that's only in the way that he has an actual name. I don't think she had a proper boss fight since Skypiea, and even then it was "just" that fat leader of the goat priests.
Robin's powers are really flexible and she uses them well, but they do have their downsides. Each of the arms she makes is only as strong as one of her regular arms, so you need a lot of them working together when dealing with a physically stronger opponent. She also feels pain from her cloned parts taking damage, so the more of them she makes, the bigger a target she becomes. Devil fruit powers can also work on her through them, as we saw with Sugar. But if she has to fight? I'd never bet against her.
Dellinger was revealed or hinted as a Fish Man during the flashbacks and title cards when he's revealed. Bro. Rebecca was established to have Observation Haki, which you dismissed. Bro.
Robin is OP, thats why. If she used her power to the fullest all the time she'd just choke everyone out, gouge their eyes, break their arms, trip them to the floor, and crush their nuts simultaneously all the time. Only someone with a power like Sugar who mustn't be touched or someone with overwhelming power could withstand her.
Bro if Robin had unrestricted use of her devil fruit all fight scenes could be done in 1 second, Oda didn't put much thought into how legitimately op he ability is and just nerfed her by making her stick to using her ability only for certain things
You are right with the Robin part but remember time skip when she said she never wanted to get stronger for someone else. She’s never cared or been a fighter she just wants to learn the history but she realised she has to for herself and for luffy
I think oda is holding back with robin because he realised that he made her to strong. I mean if you think about it her power is really busted. Sure she wont be defeating the strongest persons in one piece, because that would be to much but she could one shot so many weak people at once. And with her giant limbs she kinda hs gear 3 in her moveset which is busted on his own. I mean the giants alone are feared just for their normal punches
