hello soldiers! there are a few of you that have noted that Caverns and Chasms is not available for 1.20.1... technically, it **is,** available for 1.20.1, but it is only available to Team Abnormal's Patreon subscribers for the time being. this entire showcase was recorded in a 1.20.1 early access build, which will eventually go public. still, i prefer to be truthful and not misdirect, so i will change the title back to 1.19.2 until the 1.20.1 release becomes public. apologies for any misdirection and disappointment.
I think Its okay to use 1.20.1 since that IS the version you are playing/showcasing, but I would just add [Early Access]. Also would be possible to ask Team Abnormals when can we expect the update to come out ? Also will they update The Endergetic Expansion + Savage & Ravage ?
Even though they didn't won the vote, the glare an copper golem are still very present and popular in the community. People really wanted all 3 on that one.
@@creeperx3sssboom347 everyone complains about every mob being useless (with reason). At this point what does it matter? And btw they said last minute during MC Live that the glare would help you to light up areas. I was always curious how that would turn out, maybe it wouldn't had been so useless.
@@creeperx3sssboom347 Yeah but at last minute they realized it was too bad of a mob. So Jeb decided to buffed it saying that it could also help to light up dark areas. Here's him saying it at MC Live 2021: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-w6zLprHHZOk.html
I wonder if you know that both caverns and chasms, and savage and ravage are made by the same team. (now watching through the video i think people can piece the parts together)
I wouldn't call the mime very creative, as an enemy that mimicks your equipment has been done a lot, but it's definitely the best execution of the "mimicks you're items" enemy idea. The peepers are very creative though, I've never seen anything just like it.
Silver and Spinel will still spawn in any biome, they're just more common in cold biomes and lush caves respectively, for anyone wondering if they will be annoying to get.
@@ShadestheMothman just because it’s used to make the entrance way doesn’t mean you have to treat it like the door, you can treat it like a pathway to your house and just have a door to actually get in
loved all the memes in the video, it is exquisite combining memes and no verbal presentation, makes it all just smooth to watch, amazing video btw, you´ve got to be one of the best mod showcase content there is, and i know bc i am obsessed
@@DJSlimeball The bogged is just a retextured zombie, so obviously not. And the Breeze is honestly a lot less Minecrafty than the Peeper in my opinion lol.
2:29 Well, silver is often associated with having powers to harm and destroy evil or undead beings. Soulsand is one of the two things needed to create a Wither, which I would definitely say counts as both an evil and undead being. So maybe that's why silver can be found there.
Hey, I didn't know this mod, you never miss to make us discover underrated mods. You totally should cover the Ancient Legends mod for 1.20.1 Btw that undertale music at the end got me subscribing
Im ready for an awesome video from the second coming of textconjure Edit: a mod you should cover is illage and spillage, they are making a new boss called the devastator
Idea: If you name a Mime "2b2t", "Popbob", "Client" or "FitMC", it can spawn Endcrystals, move much faster, can use Totems of undying (They will have at most 3), jump, and will rarely use Lava Buckets and Potions.
This is one of the best mods i've seen in ages! Creative and deep game mechanics, but still extremely fitting to minecraft. It really expands on the current game perfectly instead of making something adjacent. Fantastic. Mojang would never
Cool mod! I doubt you’ll wind up reading this, but a suggestion i have is to slow down the animation speeds of copper golems as they oxidize, specifically the head spin animation. I figure itll add more flavor to them.
Excellent showcase, demonstrates things in a tantalizing way, giving you a good impression of the mod without giving everything away and compromising the mystery. Good, well-executed sense of humour, also.
earned yourself a sub with how nicely conveyed the mod is shown here. you do good! i'd probably be using this in my modpack if teamabnormal mods didn't already bug me out a few times
i cant wait for the 1.20.1 update, this mod along with savage and ravage are really refreshing to see... great stuff man, your videos are fun to watch!
Omg once i get a good computer i will be getting this mod! Also i think i understand the spinel and with the crafting part of it, so the mime is somewhat related to the spinel and once i see how its used it just miming everything it supposed to originally be! Like the bejeweled enchanted apple instead of healing you it will just give you any potion effect (something close but not exact) and the tnt it does "explode" but doesn't do damage. And this ties back to the mime mob since its just miming the player and how they work. Sorry if its a ridiculous assumption and really far for a minecraft mod! 😅 i just get into stuff like that often and want to share
one of the best modifications i've ever seen to minecraft, i strongly believe the game would be much better off if all of this was added to vanilla! lovely
This is an absolutely phenomenal mod! I really like the new mobs and items, but I have some critiques about the weapons, armor, and ores. 1. Spinel seems far too useful for something only found in one small underground biome. Can you maybe make it findable elsewhere too? Maybe as nuggets in the nether/nether forests? 2. The effects of the necronium and sanguine sets are intimidatingly esoteric for armor set effect. How about you turn their effects into enchantments and make them vary instead by enchantability, durability, or this new magic resistance effect you created? 3. Can you allow kunai and braziers to be made from iron too? If those items were added to vanilla, I would question why they didn't just add the functionality to existing materials instead of inventing silver for it. The silver kunai or braziers could be given extra functions to justify them existing, like the silver brazier light scaring undead mobs away or something.
this is how it is for most "cave update"-esque mods. they add all sorts of new materials, but instead of coming up with a consistent theme, they assign a certain trait to one or two items then add things that could easily be applicable to other resources. this was what mojang did with copper and amethyst originally but now copper has the building/electrical concepts and amethyst has the theme of renewability
@@Little-rb6rb That's what I was sort of getting at with the last part of my third point. Kunai or braziers do not have anything to do with silver's trait of being related to magic, so the role may as well be fulfilled by iron. Having a second version consistent with silver's properties would be right on the nose with it though. Sort of like a magic mob-repellent brazier or heavy-grade kunai like the arrows.
1. As far as I am aware, spinel can be found everywhere deep underground, it's just much more common in lush caves. Similarly, silver can generate in hot biomes and gold in cold biomes (25% from one ore, 75% from the other above y=-48, 50%-50% below y=-48). 2. I don't understand your point. Necromium isn't 'intimidatingly esoteric' at all, it simply swaps the extra toughness and knockback resistance of netherite armor to a Weakness aura and swaps the extra damage of netherite tools to Slowness. Turning these into enchantments would take away the main point, which is giving an alternative endgame tool and armor set that players can use and wear. Sanguine is definitely esoteric, but this is intentional: Lifesteal enchantment would be way too OP and abusable for a netherite armor (or probably too weak if you made it incompatible with Protection).
The idea of a netherite analogue only made of silver is simply wonderful! But as for its improved version, shouldn't it be worth making one just for netherite? So it turns out that people will only make sangu armor You can add improved netherite armor made from withered bones, which will drop from the wither; when hit, it will inflict wither for a short time.
Loving these mod showcases as well as the background music you use. Do you think you could put credits so we can enjoy it as well ? Keep up the good work fellow gamer
Only half way through the video and I wish so much this was available for Fabric. Hosting a fabric based server for my friends so we cant just switch but this would be so cool to have, especially the Mime and Peepers. Ya wanna talk about Minecraft Horror Mods? Thats the good stuff right there. A mob that mimics your behavior and gear and a mob that stares you right in the face and only moves when you do!
i know this is a mod for an old version and textconjure covered it but can you do electroblob's wizardry and a couple of it's addons maybe also iron's spells and spellboooks no pressure of course
Phenomenal work. So much love, time, passion, and skill went into this. Thanks so much for sharing. It's awesome! This is a simple feature, but the tuning fork is 100% my favourite part of the mod. Some feedback: There is a distinction between "it's" (it is) and "its". Just a small error. The braziers being crafted with silver feels arbitrary unless they also gain functionality related to magic or potions. Perhaps they could reduce the potency of magic and/or potions (positive and negative) in an area around itself. I think there's potential for silver to synergise with sculk and sculk catalysts, somehow. Additionally, perhaps using silver as the base for beacons, or as the base for end crystals, could also have unique functionality. The tethered potions feel out of place. I suggest an alternative: craft a special necklace using spinel and silver nuggets. The necklace can be splashed or crafted together with a potion to attach a specific potion effect. This necklace can still be worn in the helmet slot, can still grant an indefinite potion effect while it is worn, and can still be broken within 1-5 hits. The necklace can be enchanted. The functionality of the bejeweled apple doesn't feel very useful. It could be more useful if it acted as a single potion with **two** effects. Craft the bejeweled apple, and either splash it or craft it together with two potions of your choice. If you eat the apple, it will be like consuming two potions at once. Maybe potions could even be stacked this way to make them more powerful. I think having the Sanguine armour is unnecessary, and it would be better as an enchantment on weapons. Perhaps Sanguine enchanted books can only be found by bartering silver with piglins. In Quark, you can enable or disable its many features as required. I think this would be useful for your mod as well, specifically when I think of things like the new horse armour, the toolbox, and the new copper golems.
this wasn't mentioned in the video but will probably be fixed with the 1.20.1 release as well as future versions of the 1.19 release. Since the toolbox is made of copper, it oxidizes over time, but there's and issue where the oxidation can lead to the toolbox straight up deleting whatever was inside of it before it's next stage of oxidation. so just be careful when using these.
