Well, in Korea or Japan facemasks were normally weared if you were sick so you don't spread it, or for hiding your face. So it's not so unusual for them to wear those even before the corona started :D

Because i did get the joke, i was just simply stating a fact that in eastern asia countries they did wear facemasks even before the corona started. And to people who never ever came close with facemasks that are used in regular public, would seeing Shige with mask on make think that he "predicted" it.
