I grew up with CBs. Traffic, speed traps, weather, directions, and just to keep you awake. In 2016, I started driving a tractor-trailer with my son. We couldn't get hardly anyone on the radio. If someone finally did get on the radio, they were rude and obnoxious. The old school radio traffic is gone. If there are kids in the vehicle, I will NOT turn on a radio. I don't think kids should hear cuss words like that. I wish that old school CD life would come back.
I wish that too the old days of CB radio. When folks were respectful. I am very fortunate to have such local operators who respect one another. We even get our children involved at night when skip is done for the day. The drivers near me are helpful during weather and traffic jams so I am also grateful for that. Congratulations on the father Son family driving team. That’s awesome to hear. Subscribe please if you haven’t. I hope to hear back from you again. 73.
I have subscribed. My oldest and I don't drive anymore. It away his HAM time. I'm now working on my middle child. He just turned 16, and he wanted a cb in his truck. I'll be working on my youngest soon. I think k she'll love radios as well.
@@JesusisLord-7A this is so awesome to hear. Thanks for sharing and subscribing. I appreciate the support. You are a lucky man to have a supportive family. It’s all about family. 73 for now
Back in 1990, when I got my 1st car, it was a used car with a CB in it. And I used to sit outside for hours talking on it. Did this every Friday and Saturday night for a couple of years before I finally heard a rude person. Nowadays, I'm shocked to go an hour before I hear all sorts of screaming and how they're smarter than everyone 😂. Sounds like special Ed class, to be honest. I wonder how cool CB was in the 70s. . .
