And now, the oldest set of cartoons I probably have in my collection, from the mid 1980s. There were more on this tape, mainly Looney Tunes stuff, but this was the only portion that didn't have commercials cut out. While I do find this cool in some regard, if I'm being completely honest, this era of cartoons does not vibe with me at all. The bumpers are pretty cool though, and the In The News segment was pretty neat as well; pretty sure that segment was lost up until now as well.
I'd also be a criminal if I didn't talk about this era of commercials. Definitely a different style in terms of animation of them compared to the 90s, much softer in terms of colors and shading. That Rainbow Brite commercial is also probably gonna give me nightmares. In general commercials were much less in your face in this era, which is a given, but still jarring for someone like me who mainly sticks to 90s and 2000s content.
