Love the channel. I'm in Canada, wondering if there is a place you could recommend to shop for pro stock items online?
@HockeyReviews
@HockeyReviews 2 года назад
Not really tbh. I've bought from a tonne of places. Just have to find what is cheapest and what has what you want. I just google specific glove or pant names and go from there.

@@HockeyReviews Cheers. I looked at PSH, but shipping to Canada basically doubled the price - and haven't seen pro-stock on HM ca

I read that if you fit into a HP45 and decide to go UCLP, then you should size up the CL since they run smaller than the 45's. I test fitted into a HP45x and I find large works best for me overall. I was interested in the UCLP, so does this mean I should be looking at XL? If so, would the length of the UCLP be noticeably longer than the HP45? I am just worried the XL will be too long.

I wear both an XL in UCLP and HP45, UCLP might be a bit more snug but I have 0 issues with it and I am not a skinny person. They might be 1" shorter on the leg, but I don't notice any issues at all.

@@HockeyReviews Thanks for the quick response. Even though I mentioned the large being the best overall, I feel like I'm in between sizes. I am not a skinny person either and have a little bit of a gut. So the discomfort is noticeable when I am sitting down in the large size, and even a little in the XL. When wearing the XL, I feel like there is so much negative space in the rear where the tailbone pad feels like it just bubbles out and just feels a bit too big; the length is a tad too long too. I am tempted to try the XL in the UCLP since you mentioned the large being a tiny bit more snug. Which is why I was worried about the length. I think the length on the large HP45 is about right for me. It sucks that prostockhockey doesn't do returns; in case things don't fit. I already emailed Shawn but he hasn't responded yet.

Good luck! That is the problem with pro stock gear, availability to try different sizes and stock. But it is also what helps keep the price down.

@@nillirkso I’ve got a bit of a belly too. The real problem is NHL players have the lowest body fat of any major sport so pro-stock pants are made for guys with 5-10% body fat. I know all about turning purple trying to tie up a loose skate. The 45’s are actually pretty good in this regard so if you’re still having an issue I’d just ditch pro-stock and find some Tackla expp 55’s or Silver 55’s depending on your protection needs. They are a (consumer “pro” level pant) with low rise front that won’t cause any pressure on your abdomen while playing, trying to tighten your skates or anything else. Most comfortable pants ever with solid protection and room for a gut/love handles. Now obviously with the low cut you are sacrificing some protection there so after some hooking scratches I added a neoprene pad( from an old back brace) to my undershirt in that area and all problems were solved. Mobility like I’ve never had before and enough protection.

hey man, whats the sizing like on the pro stock QLT glove? i recently bought the HGTK in my regular size (14 in the old nike bauer one90) and theyre wayyyy too big, they literally fall off my hand. would you recommend sizing down if i go for the QLT?
@HockeyReviews
@HockeyReviews 4 года назад
These QLT are just slightly bigger feeling than the retail ones. I have to wear 14" Tacks but 15" QLT are fine.

I just bought a pair of ccm mhp7000.sp Sabres 2000-2006 logo pants.....what does the sp mean on the end or is there anything you can tell me about these, they are literally brand new and not used and would just like to know about them

Do the pants fit the same? HP45 and UCLP?
@HockeyReviews
@HockeyReviews 5 лет назад
I find on the waist yes they are very similar. But since the Flames pants have extra padding (which is plastic) they feel tighter on the legs than the Islanders ones do so I can't comment how it fit everywhere else sorry.

I would suggest also looking for HP45 as well, still lightweight and the successor to the UCLP

@@HockeyReviews Thanks for the advice. Now I need to figure sizing... I'm wearing size L CCM QLT pants and find the waist very large but length is decent. Think I should go M in the 45X or M+1?
@HockeyReviews
@HockeyReviews 5 лет назад
@@zacharymilos392 M+1 should bring you into large length with Medium waist
@zacharymilos392
@zacharymilos392 5 лет назад
@@HockeyReviews I see there's a zipper around the waist of the HP45's... does this help add length, too? The M+1's are a bit harder to find, but plenty of M's out there. Thx for fast reply.

@@zacharymilos392 it adds an inch, but it's the same as the retail pants. Most have that zipper

@@HockeyReviews I'm '6'3'' and would I need a +1 or +2 pant in HP 45?
@HockeyReviews
@HockeyReviews 4 года назад
@@acsh81 I am 6'3 and can wear a normal XL fine... it depends on how high you wear them and how long your thighs are. I would just take a look at a retail XL pant and see if they are long enough or not and go from there.

HP45x X is for the zipper not extra padding

I too have read the Modsquad post stating that. But it doesn't check out when the HP45 non-x pants also have the zipper in them: sidelineswap.com/en-CA/gear/hockey/pants-girdles-shells/player-pants/2026882-ccm-dallas-stars-winter-classic-senior-new-large-hp45-hockey-pants-pro-stock cdn10.bigcommerce.com/s-stdlbhmt/products/26064/images/89228/1455-04-0502-a__59319.1555789473.1280.1280.jpg?c=2
