Well, 7 months after I found your channel and now I have CISSP and CCSP. Like I said before, these weren't the only resources I used, but they were the only FREE ones I used and that just doesn't sit right with me. These videos help people a ton, and because of CCSP's relative age to CISSP, a massive resource like this is worth it's weight in gold for the exam since there's not a lot out there. Thanks for everything!
Hi- i just have a question, why u felt to do CCSP post CISSP which is much higher certificate in security. i just wanted to understand as i m in starting of these confusing points.
@dra2dubey There are several reasons to pursue CCSP after CISSP. 1. CCSP is one of the few IASAE III certs in the DoD space (cissp does not cover IASAE, just IAM/IAT III). 2. CCSP's experience requirements are more strict, requiring 5 years of experience in domains that are more narrow than CISSP. If you have CISSP and are a full member, these requirements are null. 3. CCSP's body of information has a huge overlap with CISSP, while also being a more narrow exam than CISSP, making the transition from CISSP to CCSP very beneficial in terms of studying. 4. There are not a lot of well-respected vendor-neutral cloud certs out there. The position I just took was interested in my CCSP partially because of their fully virtualized environment. If you decide to do vendor certs later on, CCSP is a great foundation for that. Extra, just to address your first comment. CISSP and CCSP are not "higher" than one another, they exist on different planes. CCSP exists to address gaps in cloud security that CISSP fails to address mostly due to it's age and focus on IT/IS structure/concepts. They are similar exams, but even ISC2 has mentioned that they are very much seen as a "duo" certification that make a security professional look more well-rounded. www.isc2.org/landing/powerduo Hopefully that clears things up, feel free to reach out or check out the r/CCSP subreddit if you have questions. very small community there but they try to help the best they can.
I passed CCSP exam on 9th April 2024 and must say that this course is really helpful. This course helped me to find connection among different topics and domains. Thanks Pete for this amazing course.
Absolutely fabulous content, Pete. Thank you. I just passed my CCSP exam after following your learning "recipe" of repetition. Watched every domain slide deck about 4 times over a couple of months. I also attended a week-long "virtual" instructor-led class and came away with a fraction of the material you present here. Your real-world experience shines through every slide. And the way you intertwine demos and background information about Amazon, Microsoft and Google is particularly impressive.
I passed the CCSP exam today. Your videos helped me to cruise it with only few days before the actual exam. You nailed the focus areas. A big thanks to you!!
Pete Zerger 🔐☁, I do not know you personally but your generosity knows no bounds! The fact that both your CISSP and CCSP Exam Cram series are free blows my mind. Your dedication to helping others succeed is unmatched. To add, your ability to nail key points that are almost guaranteed to come up during each exam is a game-changer. I can not thank you enough for providing such invaluable resources to the community. You are a true gem in the world of cybersecurity education! 🙌🏼🌟
Thank you Pete! This Exam Cram really helped me tie everything together for my CCSP. Provisionally passed on 4/17! Your videos are extremely helpful and a great service to our field! Your CISSP videos were instrumental in helping me obtain my CISSP last year and I was ecstatic to see you had this course as well. Thanks for all you do!
Thanks Pete. You comprehended all subjects very well and subtly highlighted the exam-focused areas. By the way, I randomly came across your video through RU-vid recommendations, which reminded me to complete my pending CCSP certification. I watched one of your CCSP domain videos, felt inspired, reserved my exam date with a week time, and successfully passed the exam today. Many thanks again.
Thank you so much Pete, I have been studying CCSP on and off for 2 years, more off than on. I was unsuccessful on the 1st attempt last October 2022. I came across your course and found it very informative. I am going to give myself 8 weeks and see where I am before scheduling the for date of 10/30/23. Thanks again @Pete. I hope to see you on the other side in a few weeks.
This course was a HUGE help and I wish I found it before I took CCSP the first time. Thank you a TON Peter, you put Mike Chapel’s LinkedIn learning course to shame and at no expense. I passed my second try and it was thanks to this course, thank you again!
Passed my CCSP today. Really thought I hadn’t but then again I’m sure no one comes out of an ISC2 exam thinking they passed. Your videos really helped with both my CISSP and CCSP certification success. Thank you!!!
I used this to study for the CCSP and watched it through all the way once after studying for the CISSP with the CISSP video. I successfully passed the CCSP about a week after getting the CISSP certificate. I will say I do have some AWS certs and cloud knowledge so I didn’t feel the need to study a lot of material. I would also say the CCSP is easier than the CISSP as it does cover such a wide variety of information as the CISSP. Thank you for the videos.
Your trainings and PPTs are excellent. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and wisdom. I passed my exam and your trainings were biggest part of my Victory!
I passed my CCSP exam today, and while I took a training camp course; your videos were a great resource to breakdown other concepts and aided as a great study resource. Thank you!!!!
Thanks so much Pete. Just passed my CCSP exam by using your videos. Just before taking, refreshed, using the PDF for the 6 domains. Also the hands on demos were great too
Thank you Pete - I passed my exam a few days ago - these videos were really useful in my preparation - many thanks on the effort it took to make these videos.
His Highness Your Majesty The Living Legend Pete Zerger, Your Thoughts on the AWS Security Speciality exam course contents vs the CCSP…. THANK YOU for all your great work…. 🙏
CCSP provides great vendor-agnostic knowledge applicable to all public cloud platforms. AWS exams are a good show hands-on knowledge of a specific platform, and good for potential employers running AWS.
Passed CCSP today, thank you for resource :) (Also use your playlist for the CISSP exam) Thank you, I passed both CCSP and CISSP with your resources ! My sincere comment is, unlike CISSP playlist, i feel like the CCSP Exam Cram clip did not cover much of the concept in the exam. Please keep the good work! :)
I am not from this domain but I want to move into Cyber Security. First I thought I will go with CISSP then I got to know that exam is very tough so now I am thinking to go with CCSP. I am from Software Asset Management Domain with 10 Years of experience.
Hi Pete, I've just started this course recently and this is my first one on your channel. I can see the quality of content already and the effort behind it. Thank you so much for the videos, knowledge and the crams. Question - About the experience requirements for exam, it is suggested that one must have so and so years of paid work experience. Will ISC2 assess it before a candidate enrol for CCSP / CISSP or is it just for understanding the concepts ? I've 8+ years experience in this Cloud domain working across various services including security. So based on how a candidate is assessed (if at all) , I just want to make sure if I'm eligible to attend for this certification exam and prepare accordingly. Thanks. Suggestion - The PDF Presentation Downloads links from Domain 2 - 6 provided under this CCSP description are leading to Security + exam crams. Please have a look.
I have a comment on 7:49 mark about Bastion host. I think AWS provide a service SSSM which can act like a jumphost for securely remoting server, but definitely its not Transit Gateway.
I failed my exam today and have to say it was the hardest one I have ever taken, a bit deflated at the minute to see if I retake it as I do not know if I can reach this level
This is a tough exam, and it takes incorporating practices quizzes and spaced repetition to ensure you're ready. If you want to retake, reach out to me on LinkedIn and I'll provide you some 1-1 coaching for the retake.
CCSP is vendor agnostic, so that’s good foundational knowledge broadly applicable across all cloud platforms. I think, having some vendor specific expertise is also a must. You’ll likely have one platform you know better than the others, but I suggest you choose Azure, AWS, or GCP and ramp up there as well.
@Pete, I have been studied with Official study v3 and cbk ref v3, and I failed the exam. Do I need to buy the latest copy for next exam? I registered my next attempt in September. I already failed two times.
I think a copy of the current OSG and CBK are very helpful, along with the CCSP practice tests you can get with the OSG bundle. My exam prep strategy (explained at the beginning of my course) will help you mix media to improve recall. When you're hitting 90% on practice exams consistently, then you're ready. That is when you should schedule your exam IMO.
Hi, I am taking up the exam this week, can you please suggest exam practice questions that are close to the exam questions? The question banks I referred to are either very difficult or very easy, please help ASAP.
Quick question to anyone reading this, do I have to know all of these standard's numbers? like literally the number and what is it covers? do we get questions around that?
Sorry, I don't have any control over that. There are buttons and gestures in the mobile app work checking out (see ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ixlrN1_XvRc.htmlsi=itS97EjaaS3XEUeS). But premium features like download, background play, etc. come with RU-vid Premium subscription.
@@adityamoray3271 ah, got it. CCSP it’s pretty advanced as is CISSP. Wouldn’t recommend either for beginners. However, I would recommend CompTIA Security+, which is the world’s, most popular, entry-level, cyber security certification. You can find my Security+ exam cram here on this channel, which covers every topic from the official exam syllabus.
@@InsideCloudAndSecurity Thank you sir I will start it from today I was looking for this also Sir one last question before we conclude this thread which networking cert is better CCNA or Network+ ?? Thank you I'm advance sir
@@adityamoray3271 Network+ is vendor agnostic, more broadly useful foundational knowledge, doing you more good in a cloud-first world than a vendor-specific cert like CCNA.
Hey Pete, Love your content. I was wondering if there is way to use your training videos for CPE credits. Not sure how to submit it for credits..is it possible? anyone has done this?
There are only 6 domains in the CCSP exam. If you are thinking there should be 8, you are thinking of the CISSP, for which you'll find my exam cram at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_nyZhYnCNLA.html
Prior cloud knowledge is expected (and substantial work experience required to hold the cert). I provide some demonstrations in the video to help bridge that gap where I can.
@@InsideCloudAndSecurity Thank you for the advice. As an aside, how do you break into cloud? What would be the path? I have a job at an MSSP that does a lot of cloud support. I am planning to get a BS in cloud computing, because I want a BS, and the certifications. I have a home lab, but it's not very impressive, and not cloud based at all.
