Hello David, i have been facing some problems with Kali, i did a dual boot and installed some applications and other things that i needed however i have noticed that as soon as i open some applications they open and then close on their own. i was programming with python to create a simple snake game and the same thing happened, it started for a millisecond and then closed , i have been trying to find a way to fix this however i have not seen anyone else with this same issues. you are my last ray of hope please help me.
David the what’s my name website isn’t working the filter doesn’t have options and no search works. Was it only active for the video as a demo? What’s going on I feel scammed
This channel is probably the biggest reason for why I'm taking formal steps into transitioning towards Cyber Security from being a Windows / Linux Sys Admin for the last, almost decade. It's very difficult to take extremely technical concepts and simplify them, but you and your guests always make it look so easy. One of, if not THE best resource on the Internet.
I made that same move ten years ago, and your background will help you stand out. Many Infosec Engineers these days come from programming/CS background, but the ones with server admin/network engineering tend to understand the enterprise better IMO
Made that move 2.5 years ago. Longtime Windows/AD/Infrastructure Ops engineer myself. I can confidently state that your previous experience will help accelerate your CyberSec journey once you get your foot in the door.
the important question is, after such a long and daunting transition, do you identify and feel as cybersecurity because it doesnt matter the dna. do you think within the next 20 years you can implement this chatgpt i hear so much about? i hear this big for cybersecurity.
I own a physical security company armed, and I periodically have government contracts and govt contractor fill in. How hard is it to learn ? bc this comment caught my eye. I don’t know Linux and not much cyber security things is it a prerequisite to get that down ? And if you answer thank you.
I was about to search for an OSINT tools and maybe enroll in some courses but after the rest day, I just found this video from David pop-up. Thank you a lot Mr.David appreciate these amazing & informative videos
Just wow! I am so amazed by all the awesome people you find and the information they all share. My interest for everything related to cyber security and the hope to possibly grow a career in the field grows by every video I watch from you. Thank you!
🤯🤯 thanks David, amazing insight and you are one of my goto for direction/advice - if RU-vid offered "important factual" viewer awards hands down I would think of you first on here
David, thank you for much for remarkable services for the community. Its realy amazing that you have been engaged with cyber security professionals for long time.
Thank you, David. I love this channel, always giving us the most up to date information. I accepted my first job offer last week in IT and mentioned your page and how it has helped me out. I know you get a lot of comments on here, I'm hoping you see this one. Thanks for what you do, and I hope you have a good day, my friend.
Thanks,Mr D.Bombal, for posting videos like this ! Kudos for the wonderful contents you've been serving. I've been learning a lot and,of sure, do not feel a necessity to join any university to gain IT knowledge.
This helps in research to use with Ai for finance stock evaluation on the most profitable companies that allow greatest start ups and new larger contracts that really need to be studied and have facts that haven’t yet been well documented.
@davidbombal It was good to hear/see especially for those with organisational operating systems constraints (ms) and who can only use windows and online tools. I made comment voting for the AI presentation. I would also suggest one covering API's for OSINT in full.
Just started using Obsidian recently. I like it, except that unless you like 30 notification pop ups as you type, it can't be used at the same time as having a backup program running and syncing the Vault location for Obsidian. So basically make it impossible to use, if you want to backup your local Obsidian Vault securely. Unlike Obsidian's paid subscription that enables syncing to the cloud but isn't encrypted.
This video and the previous OSINT videos are great, David! I would like to also see OSINT videos about Financial Intelligence and Critical Infrastructure and Industrial Intelligence. As part of those videos, are there any volunteer opportunities?
@davidbombal Great VIdeo. Will check out the tools. What types of jobs can we get with OSINT skills? What am I searching for as a job title? THanks for all the great videos!
Regarding Kasm: If you self-host Kasm, you have the opportunity to make persistent profiles and volume mapping. I use Kasm on my dedicated server just to separate it from my home network and company network.
True. And it can be spun up in a free Oracle instance (yeah, I know Oracle bad, but free tier is free) although in a free instance, it would be the ARM version of Kasm, so some applications can't be installed from the main branch. Also, for the record, on the Kasm site, I could find a 3 minute demo, but no actual free account setup.
Sir, i think a series on basic and intermediate networking will be fantastic, based on the response, you cak also decide if you should create advanced netw. also.
Clicked on the links to many of the tools. Many do not work. For example, the WhatsMyName app...the filter chooser doesn't work, entering names does not generate data...or do anything. Starting to look a bit dubious.
In the US especially, I wish we could get a user friendly version of this information taught in schools and for crisis center employees to be aware of. I have ADHD so I had become really dependent on the utility of apps to offload a lot of cognitive fatigue tasks such as food or women's health calendars ext. Now I refuse to use them out of fear of whatever data I might be leaking getting captured in while traveling through certain Republican states. Women don't even know what they don't know about the kinds of threats they could be facing with cyber stalking these days.
I would love to learn more need to find bank account and stocks that my dad had he passed away 4 years ago if you could help me out get started on the right path thanks guys
hello I'm from Indonesia. Can I see movements, upcoming events and events on a website that I visit? I saw some footage of that. If that's true, what should I prepare? Thank You.
Can you better explain how to clone the obsidian Kickstart vault the man mentioned. It asks me to specify a path and when I specify a path that says that path does not exist
I would appreciate if you one day can make a video about the differences of the encryptions AES-256, Anubis, Grand Cru and Kalyna ciphers, and also tell which one and for what reason you consider is the most secure.
I have a person that is hacking my Activision account on codm right now. Activision isn't helping really I can log in and try to change my password it won't let me. When I start to play he logs in and it kicks me off. Is there a program I can use to kick him off my account?
📝 Summary of Key Points: 📌 The virtual machine in the browser allows for changes to be made during a session, but reverts back to a known good state upon logging out, ensuring a fresh start each time. 🧐 This tool provides a secure and isolated environment for open source intelligence tasks without the need for a separate virtual machine on the user's computer, making it cost-effective and efficient. 💡 Additional Insights and Observations: 💬 "The power of having a virtual machine in your browser is that you can do all of your work in a safe and isolated environment without the overhead of running a separate virtual machine on your system." 📣 Concluding Remarks: Chasm offers a valuable solution for ENT practitioners by providing a secure workspace for investigations and tasks, ensuring data integrity and privacy without compromising the user's actual system. Its ability to revert to a known good state upon logout enhances efficiency and security in open source intelligence work. Generated using TalkBud
Is it possible to use these tools to find someone who doesn't have any social media or anything in the internet? This man is about 80 years old. He's my brother-in-law's father and he wants to reconnect with his father. All I have is his full name.
Im studying ethical hacking and I only use the command line when i have to (which is 99% of the time) and I try to use a GUI for certain things when I can. The command line is powerful, but it's 2024, there's no need for killing yourself and writing some crazy python or bash script just to make a point. It's dumb. It's like the people who are still using Vim or Nano. Why? There are a MILLION GUI text editors out there, why use something that was made in the 1980s?
