CD47 Antibody treatment shrinks or eliminates human cancer tumors in mice 

Nearly all cancers have been found to have a lot of a molecule called CD47, which tells the immune system "don't eat me." Blocking the CD47 signal has been show to let immune cells called macrophages eat cancer cells. A pair of research papers shows that the method can shrink or eliminate many human tumors that have been transplanted into mice.
