Dave O’Neill, founder and major shareholder of American West Metals, is a geologist with over 20 years of experience in the resources sector within Australia and internationally. Dave has expertise in base metals and gold exploration, as well as business development gained in senior roles at AngloGold, WMC Resources, BHP and Western Areas. He had managed remote grassroots exploration to large resource delineation and mining projects in Australia, Europe, North America and Russia.
American West Metals is expanding the high-grade discovery at the Storm Copper Project in Canada. It is a sediment hosted copper discovery consisting of two distinct styles of mineralisation: widespread, high-grade copper mineralisation near surface, and a significant new discovery of stratiform copper sulphides at depth. Exploration is underway at Storm to define maiden resources of the near-surface mineralisation, and to follow-up the major sediment hosted copper system at depth.
CDFund Discovery Day 2024:
On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, the fund organized the fourth edition of the CDFund Discovery Day at the Bimhuis in Amsterdam. Eight exploration companies, developers and producers carefully selected by the fund presented their projects and told all about raw materials such as gold, copper and zinc found and/or extracted there.
