It was a fair shootout until you decided to bring in a mid-freq. bell which the P42 does not have. You could have simply added a generic EQ with P42 to cover the same boost you did on the other track. Anyway 5 plugins stacked to tackle P42 (which uses less than 1% cpu) is an honor :)
You are right, the moment I threw in that mid band, the table with all the miniatures and dice got completely thrown upside down. However, (I am not sure I am reading your comment the right way), it seems you are implying the P42 was inferior in any way? I did not say that, I actually find both very good although I do not own the P42 (I just cannot own every single plug-in out there :)). What I am used to (or like to mix my own stuff) is obviously just subjective for what works for me. They're both great, they can both do good stuff, they are quite different, they cannot be used identically (as I epically demonstrated through my laziness :)). I couldn't thank you enough for letting me know and for taking the time to comment after watching the video!
@@arizzoschettino 110% lol. Tried to mimic p42 with a lot of stuff, then gave up, bought it and never looked back. Loading session with 5x nebulas on every track is a total mess.
@@lazyabeats makes perfect sense, but why the gatekeeping? I hope I didn't send the message across that it sounded bad! And yes 5 instances of Nebula on each channel are definitely gonna give more than 110% 😂 lols
Hi Matt! Yes, I've been using it a lot. CDSM stuff really rocks. The skin I made is going to be available this month for free (September) to all patrons of mine. I've made many more CDSM skins in the past month that will all release through the Patreon, in case you are interested. Yes, a bit of shameless plug ;)
Yeah...the CDSM sounds good..but volume is moving all around on master...Id rather use the CDSM for mixing and master wit hte P42 as a Send Effect...thats how I would handel this mixng situation
I like how both have their own strengths and show off in their own realm... I still believe the comparison is kinda pushed as they are both extremely valuable in their own regard, but I cannot hide that it was a lot of fun to let these two beasts out loose :)
@@arizzoschettino Right now I mainly using Cupwise AX102 for mastering as a send effect And I’ve been using Amethyst a lot and ASH as far as Mastering I think that’s some of the best quality you can get as far as that professional gloss you want over the whole mix
I have one question, what is that you have that sound everytime you play and you stop when it sound again? is a timer to not get saturated with the audio?
There's been discussions about it, some want it in, some want it out. Recent studies have determined that the presence of the space bar hit is going to make people feel more close to the real experience and this leads sooner or later to mind control over the masses, which is obviously what I am trying to achieve. But please do not reveal that :)
Hi there! I have Ozone 10 Advanced (quite fond of the whole suite and v10 is insane!) but my demo of the P42 expired. I'll try and get in touch with the devs to see if they can allow me some more days! Thanks for the suggestion!
They’re fairly different. P42 is carefully designed to mimic 1960s transformer-based gear. The Ozone exciter isn’t meant to sound vintage, in my own listening it has a more contemporary crisp sound, and i don’t prefer it or think it’s similar. It is useful in some cases but it doesn’t sound as round or “analog” fuzzy as the P42 imo
@@sub-jec-tiv That's what I was thinking, guessing from where they come from (and having used the Ozone Exciter on various occasions). Definitely two great tools, with little to no crossover sometimes, so easily fitting on the same track, if used to their potentials!
@@arizzoschettino I'm afraid I haven't tried it, yet. I've just found out about it and was curious to know whether or not you had had the opportunity to use it. Cheers!
Thanks for letting me know and for enjoying the video, I love the N-TEN-AT4 and I've been using it a lot in a lot of places, so I cannot disagree with you!
