CDT Thru-Hike Ep. 4: Desert Mesa Walks; Cuba; Hiking Around Fire Closures to Chama 

In episode 4 of my CDT thru-hike, I wrap up my hike around fire closures and rejoin the CDT for breathtaking walks atop mesas into Cuba, NM, where I actually camp at a hair salon/RV park! The owner, Theresa, was incredibly kind. From Cuba, I walked a mix of paved and dirt roads around further fire closures, all the way to Chama. I finally make it to the edge of the South San Juans, a pivotal moment in my hike.
