An inch or TWO!!??? Ha ha. I think two inches might be a little to big!! /// Thanks for the reply. Did not remember lacing techniques n all. Better to have more than not enough. Thanks!

Maybe… I guess it depends on your feet and the shoes. You’re probably right that it pushes the boundary a bit at two inches for some, but I’ve had to get close to that before just because of the way the rest of the shoe fit and how my feet expanded as I hiked. Fit is such a personal thing and shoe-specific. But in general, I’ll take a shoe that has a little bit too much room over one that has a tad not enough - I can usually adjust for this with lacing. On a related note, I’ve been hiking the CDT in 10.5s and just picked up my last pair in Anaconda, MT. They felt a little tight! They’ll stretch out a bit, but my feet are definitely a bit more swollen than normal at this point in the hike.
