The effort they put into these animatronics back in the day makes me feel like at one point, the employees and technicians really cared about these guys…
I adore the fact that they decorated the stage and animatronics for different seasons back then. It’s such a shame that most CEC locations don’t do this anymore. I hate that most locations and the company as a whole mostly neglects the animatronics as well as us CEC fans these days… they used to care so much more for their animatronics and for their fans.
This was all SELF-FUNDED right? I could never get our stores to squeeze out a dime if it was for the show because "the show doesn't bring IN revenue!" Except everyone would BOOK parties AT the Ingram Rd. location because and I quote one of our frequent families' Mom and Dad, "The other locations don't have these 3 Stages with the same robots! Our kids absolutely LOVE coming to this location even though Windsor Cross's gameroom is, well you know, Gabe" "Yes...yes ma'am I do, thank you for saying that! I love this stage too!! Here are some Tokens to get you all & the kiddos started... I'll come by later and check on you guys... Have fun!" "Aww, ok Thanks Gabe!" "No Problem" GOD I miss working at a former SPP on a Saturday night especially in the fall when this Texas heat was starting to cool down... I'll cherish those memories of getting to play games with our regular)Awesome) guests and getting PAID to have fun!!
@@showbizmoment Well, awesome! Thank you for the comments... and of course for watching. This is why I did it... because I realized in 1997/98 when I FINALLY came across one, then two, then three fan based websites for Showbiz Pizza Place, Pizza Time Theatre and CEC that I WASN'T the only kid that was fascinated by the shows there and the places in general... I owe it to guys like Nick and Travis and whoever ran that early webpage that was mostly audio and video clips they'd personally recorded and filmed. Being able to find other fans that were older and had actually managed to get shows out of there either just by having cool management or a tech that covered for them I slowly began to amass a huge collection of what I refer to as "Store Masters" because they're originals in the sense that they HAVE the data and came from actual locations as opposed to the actual "Sub Masters" I got to borrow FROM corporate in 2010 in groups of 5, then 10, then 15... that also included the copies of the Pizza Time Players 1977-1979 DAT(digital audio Tape) that required 2 CDs to fit it all and gave our fan community it's first listen to what Crusty the Cat, sounded like! I was personally good with how he sounded, however because there wasn't really anything special to his voice or personality, I can definitely see WHY they would choose to go with Mr. Munch instead OR have Scott Wilson use that voice for Crusty... IDK if anyone's figured out yet who VOICED Crusty, but whoever it was actually wasn't terrible and could sing in pitch where as Scott Paulin as Jasper was ok, but his dialogue was better.
AWESOME! I wish CEC stores still looked like this one! They really did a awesome job on this one! It would only be a dream, that a CEC 3 stage would look like this again, it is really sad knowing that Mobile Alabama's CEC 3 stage got 2.0 though.
love the newer latex masks especially Helen munch and Pasqualy also like how chuck E's stand is a piece of cheese wish it would be like that for all locations
I was around for Avenger chuck and the plastic mask 3-stage animatronics (which i think was just a one time visit anyway) Im happy that i was able to get to see the AAM. i think it was just before FNAF came out when i saw a video of it, if i had never seen the AAM i would have never been in love with the older CEC, hell, ANYTHING in Showbizz Pizza for that matter, if it werent for that little Chuck-E that i thought was in a spaceship. If it werent for that video, i wouldnt be squealing from looking at these images. Its sad i never got to see them in person, and the only memory i had was my screaming in fear. But im happy now that im able to see what could have been, and might be in another universe.
Noticing the Pom Pom's that were used with Helen since Helen has the same mech as Mitzi, the previous incarnation before CEC took over Showbiz. Very nice and rare images by the way, hoping to see more!
1. I think Chuck, Munch, and Pasqually's masks are my favourite out of the latex ones; Jasper's is alright, but I think Helen looks cuter with her plastic mask (also those last 2 pics of her looked a bit creepy imo). 2. I noticed Jasper's Beach Bear guitar was painted to look like a Flying Cheese. And love the addition of the chipmunk on there, reminds me of the Birthday Bird on Billy Bob's banjo (say that 10 times fast) 3. Also noticed Looney Bird's mech wasn't moved when retrofitted into the camera. He still looks adorable with the tree on top of him tho 4. The playroom overlay reminds me of the prototype concept for the 3-Stages, where it looked like the interior of a house, or even what that of the Rocker Stage (the one resembling a porch) would've looked like; Designed before the idea of cheerleader Helen was conceived All in all, it's wonderful to find former employees who actually CARED about running the business and then the fandom. Even in the franchise's darker times, past and present, there's still a few good eggs who'd know what the best outcomes for the business would be, said outcomes being to strive to be more creative while still looking for ways to help with financial things. I for one still think 2.0 was a bad idea mainly because, since they were already in hot water even back in 2019 before the bankruptcy, it would've made no sense to spend even more money on remodeling and "fixing" what wasn't even broken. What I'd give for time travel to be a thing so I could experience all this for myself. I sound so stupid right now, but that's only because I am and have no clue what I'm even trying to say
@@brianhaganLooking at Mobile, Al Coach Chuck photo for the first time. I thought they'd used Mitzi mech or some Mitzi cosmetics. Assuming because of his shoes, ears, mech proportion, paws, and latex mask.
I could say the managers of the store that kept or done the animatronics this way are giga chads, we at least needed a few stages that looked and be kept like this in 2.0.
Some of the stage experiment was to see CEC taller (hence no base) as well as visually balance the stages by swapping Pizzacam and Pasqually's positions.
@@chasemcgarity4790 Same bro This one time I came up with like a whole concept for a "World's Largest" CEC with all the different elements from various locations and eras (mini amusement rides such as bumper cars and the PTT-era ones, a larger toddler playground, more Skytubes, etc.), a menu with more variety than you can imagine, a separate room for adults with alcohol and sports playing on flatscreens (no fights tolerated), all the different arcade games as well as a small room with multiple TVs hooked up to older consoles like a Genesis or GameCube (an idea used in a small Indiana theme park I went to); but the main attraction would be what I called the "5-Stage" , where each character got the Garner-Holt/Studio C treatment and placed on their own personal stages and would have unique features (Jasper could get up off his can, Pasqually could play a full set of drums, like how Showbiz was gonna do it). It would've essentially been like that one McDonald's in Orlando, but even more insane. But alas, my idea and I are both *tacky af and completely impractical,* as said by a fellow "fan", can hardly call myself one after being told that statement. My dreams (and not to mention my memory) slowly diminish with each passing day.... Sorry, I'm rambling again
