In our third keynote session, Cecile Malaspina - one of the translators of Du Mode into English - explores Simondon's thought beyond the notion of cystallisation (inviting us to think about biological individuation through human endogenous retroviruses, "genetic noise", as well as noise trading in contemporary finance), questioning the role of metaphor in thought and offering an account of the relationship between thought, matter, and "history."
