This is a great tribute to her work on the show. She definitely belongs among this show's elite. And kudos for adding the Clown who Had an Abortion at 23. One of the smartest pieces of satire they ever did.
That clip was HEARTBREAKING. I remember watching it live, & going, "Uh oh...this was NOT planned." Especially, when Colin was like, "You don't have to do this". STILL hits me in the feels to this day.
She’s SO good. She puts joy and a song and a cry in my heart-sometimes all in the same sketch. My interest in her went next-level when she casually tossed off a “Worm” reference to Dennis Rodman in the middle of a Weekend Update report. And the “Baby It’s Cold Outside” number with Jimmy Fallon had me realizing that she’s really way too good for SNL. A serious candidate for most talented cast member ever. And she’s so chill. 🖖🏼
That last clip kills me every time I watch it. Cecily was my favourite SNL cast member before that aired, and all that did was put a massive chunk of empty space between her and second place.
I hadn't watched SNL in years, but somehow landed on the show when she was doing Judge Jean. The sketch was ok, until Che handed her that extra glass, & she said, "Thank you, Kenan". I was HOOKED from then on! She's been my favorite cast member ever since!
She's a national treasure, I love the skits that showcase her singing voice. Also, abortion is healthcare and should be between a woman and her doctor!

China, Russia, and North Korea are literally the only countries that don't have some sort of restrictions on abortion. Is that the company you want to be in? No civilized society aborts its fetuses without due cause. Would you do that to a panda or bald eagle?
I've been watching SNL since year one. There have been countless greats that came through. Belushi, Akroyd, Murphy, Murray, Sandler, Radnor & Jane Curtain. I think Cheri O'Teri comes a moderate 2nd to Cecily Strong. She's ridiculously gifted & that's not even counting her amazing singing voice. Not sure why she's even still there & not on the Big Screen yet
As you know by now (Christmas Eve), Cecily Strong left the show, which to us viewers, is very sad. Except for Kenan, who is fabulous, we'll have to see how everyone else proves themselves.
I'm looking forward to seeing if there is a motion picture comedy writer who is good enough to write a vehicle worthy of Cecily Strong's many talents. As of this posting, none have ascended to that level of greatness.
At about 3:10 of this video, I prepared to ask how one could make this video without the Scottish Fish. Now I just want to THANK YOU (and CECILY STRONG for being so effing DOPE!!). But yeah, right on for including my favorite.
I love me some Cecily Strong! (no grammatical apologies here), The first time I saw her on SNL I could not believe she was an actual cast member. Just seeing her on the SNL intro is the Saturday night-cap I look forward to...especially since I don't drink😄
My ALL time favorite skit of Cecily on SNL is her playing the quintessential New Yorker completely unfazed when, while grocery shopping, the Long Island Medium comes up to her, uninvited, and begins telling her about her "total mess" husband who incidentally comes walking up right after, totally fine.
"Colin Jessica Jost!" LOL, I love making middle names for my co-workers. Especially giving the men female middle names 😂 cecily is so damn talented, and I wish I had watched her from the get-go. I always seem to come in late for things 😔
Cecily, is the most talented and amazingly versatile actress; with perfect comedic timing! I only see Movies and possibly her own Talk Show! Going to miss her on SNL!🥲

I remember thinking, the scene where she’s just lobbing her drinks at Colin was going to end up being a send off for her. It seemed to have that feel at the time.
It was, she wasn't sure about returning and they had a feeling she was going to leave so Bryan Tucker (senior writer) wrote it with her as a send-off just in case
so amazingly talented, funny AF. and on a personal note, one of the hottest women on the planet. i'm so infatuated with her. sexy and funny is like my kryptonite i guess.
