Here is a brief video on what kind of damage to look for on your CED Videodiscs. The CED Videodisc is a pressed vinyl disc like a record. Therefore, it can sustain similar damage from being stacked, scratched, or mishandled. In this video I will go through some of the discs I have discarded as being too damaged to play. This is of course at the user's discretion, but with the cost and rarity of the player stylus it's better to air on the side of caution. Playing damaged discs can cause excessive wear to the stylus or even destroy it. Discs should be removed from the caddy and inspected every time prior to playing them. Thank you.
