Thank you for uploading. This was the Cedar Point of my childhood. That summer I was eight-years-old. I remember that Stage Coach ride! It was so grand for an 8-year-old. I am now 63 and still a devoted roller coaster rider.
Such a cool video!! I was born in 64. I remember all of this just like in the video!!! I pray that everybody in this video (the kids) are all still alive and well. My brother died on his motorcycle back in 2004 which makes going to Cedar Point kind of bitter sweet these days!! But I still love Cedar Point!!
I'm surprised I havent' seen this one before. I have some CP 1964 8mm film on my channel. It's more family film with CP in it. This has a lot of nice short clips specifically of the rides.
Isn't there ANYONE who Remembers RIDING on BIG, REAL MULES, back by Jungle Larry's Safari, about 1963-64? I SURE DO! I must have been about 5, and I began to Slide off the saddle, the person leading my Mule around, caught me! But that didn't stop my love of riding! (I wonder if That's part of the reason why there's No More Mule rides? That & the $$$ !)
What the hells up with the car driving across the midway? What was the Grand Pavillion or whatever used for back then before video games? Still an arcade with whatever primitive games they had back then?
Amazing how the Bonetown skeletons are just as dead today as they were 50+ years ago. And the BRAND NEW Blue Streak! One can only wonder, how 50 years from now, generations will look at SteVe and chuckle at its simple quaintness. Lol
