This was the best opening weekend I’ve ever been to since 2013! The weather all three days (including Ohio State Day) was very nice and most rides were open. I’m fed up with the fact that park officials are so obsessed with keeping the new Dragster a secret. I got yelled at for sticking my phone through a gap in the big fence trying to get a picture.
A gate at the TTD was left unlocked Thursday & a guest with his smart phone in hand looked around & went in. I don't know what he saw, but they must have spotted him as he came running out & was running like an Olympian sprinter
Great video. I think they did an amazing job with the new boardwalk and Grand Pavilion. That midway needed a major refresh for a long time. Still space to add some new flat rides however.
Went to Cedar Point last weekend for my birthday.... Had a great time! Stayed 2 nights at the Breakers resort and the May weather was cooperative. Love the new Boardwalk area and the Wild Mouse ride is a clear family hit. I, however, wish that C.P. had a single riders line like Universal does. Due to the crowds, I was unable to ride SteVe or Maverick as often as I wanted....and I refuse to spend more $$$ on an express pass.
It’s been a long time since there’s been a family coaster last time really was wildcat in 2011. The park looks great on opening day though ! I am glad to see a little bit of Dragster!
Always the best footage! Over a decade now? Longer? Thanks for the shots at dusk - nobody seems to have done that yet. Boneville makes me want to cry - for the love of God plant some trees around the scenes and train in general!!!!
Thank you! This is the start of my 15th year on RU-vid. I agree, the Boneville scenes could use some more trees (actually the whole park needs more trees!) The animatronics looked sweet though.
Wow Bob. This was so refreshing to watch. I think the only negative for me would have been the weather. But other than that it looked like an amazing day all around. Incredible timings and editing once again. Did you get to ride Vengeance? If so how was it riding? That Wild Mouse ride looks new. I never realized that Gatekeeper was right on the water. Question: Do people use that side of the park as a beach? Or is that not allowed? It looks like there is plenty of sand over there. Anyways. Superlative job Bob. The day to night filming is wonderful. I feel as though I spent the whole day there. Hope you are all doing well~ Rob/Boston
Thanks, Rob! No Vengeance for me this time, I don't have much patience to stand in a long line. A large portion of the beach you see is open to the public, though swimming is restricted to the hotel area.
(2:40 AM, 10/25/2023/2020's)-(Shaden Leader); Very Cool Bob, but no more (Johnny Rockets and Mac and Cheese) for now, for a while 😞, and also, hopefully in (20)25, for to make that (Island) in the center of (Cedar Creek) into still, one of the (10) Themed Lands, as a (Adventure) Theme, even as it was called; Dinosaurs Alive on a Adventure Island. But should be called that; ADVENTURE ISLAND.!.! Thanks, and God Bless again and again, Coaster Bob 62! 1 Comment only for each film, including this one.
