Cedar Point WINTER CHILL OUT 2020

As Cedar Point gears up for its 150th anniversary season, hundreds of fans roamed the park for the annual Winter Chill Out event, which raised $60,000 s A Kid Again, very cool (I say "cool" a lot in this video, sorry!) I was in Group 1 which had a chilly 8:00 am start, but the weather was picture-perfect. Filmed Saturday, February 22, 2020.
This is an especially long video (consider it my director's cut) as there was a lot of stuff to cover, including new eating establishments being built, the new Legacy Walk, a look inside Maverick's launch tunnel, and a surprise walk-thru of Eerie Estate, as well as the usual sights and sounds of winter on the peninsula.

I’m getting Blackpool vibes hearing the seagulls and the wind, reminds me of walking around BPB out of season especially seeing the general eeriness of a closed park. Only half way through, but as always it’s a great watch.

Man is your editing sublime Bob. Loved the intro and your spoken word in the intro. So so so good. There are quite a few people who have coaster channels on You Tube as you know. But you and Sean's channels are by far the best on the Net. You the Captains of Coasters. Thanks for the Winter Chill Out. Only 17 days until spring. I forget sometimes that there was a small sliver of 2020 where we were not wearing masks and locked down. This is so strange to watch knowing how the 2020 season turned out

Nice video! How long did the tour last.... or how long were you allowed to stay in the park?

I was in the park for about 6 hours. The earliest tour starts at 8am, that's when my tour started. For that group, the tour of the Amazement Shop was between 1:30-2:30pm, and you have to leave the park for that, and that's basically when your tour ends. My RU-vid friend CoasterMasterMedia was in the 12:30pm group, and he told me that they were asked to leave just after 6pm (his Amazement Shop tour was from 6-7pm.

Fine job with the cinematography as usual, CoasterBob. Dragster is down again?? Oh, wait, never mind, I guess there is a good excuse this time. I wonder how the seagulls are able to avoid starvation during the 6+ month offseason, with no dropped french fries available. How far away from the park were you when you attached the camera to your front license plate?

Thank you! I attached the GoPro to my bumper right before I hit Cedar Point Drive. As for the gulls, they have plenty of Lake Erie fish to keep their bellies full during the off-season!
