Swift Reconfiguration won’t work this way. When placed on devoted Druid it is no longer a creature and Tayam removes counters from creatures. 11:00 Good video. Life totals represented would be a good addition.
kudos to him to be one of the only ones to actually use counters in tayam on recorded game. Every single game I see tayam played, They are not at all using its amazing ability and are playing the deck in reverse... So yes swift is a bad choice in tayam (centaure garden is one way to go quite easily but at least he was trying to do the right moves.

First time seeing a video from the channel, I like the set up! I found the video as I'm looking to play Tayam as a second cEDH deck and in a little confused on how the Tayam player went off here. They have a collector ouphe in play and swift config makes devoted druid an artifact creature, so I'm not sure how they were activating the ability to untap the druid through their own collector ouphe. The second is I'm not sure where the counters were coming from to remove for Tayam's ability as part of the activation cost. When devoted druid is turned into a vehicle, unless it is crewed it is no longer a creature (which is why you can put infinite -1/-1 counters on it without it dying). However it's not dying because it's not a creature, and Tayam can only remove counters from creatures. I'm sure I'm missing something here, which is why in coming for clarification but from what I can see, the Tayam player should not have been able to activate their devoted druid because it's an artifact and did not have a creature to remove counters from as part of the activation cost required for Tayam's ability.
ok gotcha! Like I said, I'm still learning Tayam and thought I might be missing something (there are a lot of subtle details and minutia with the deck) so didn't want to say for sure it was wrong but it wasn't adding up for me hah. Still enjoyed the video and some of your other videos as well. Keep up the good work!
Good personalities, but I would’ve scrapped this video for one with fewer mistakes. Just run it back lol. Can’t get Wall of Roots with a recruiter. Swift Rec does not work with Tayam. And that’s your whole game.
