Hello Andrew & Diane! I sailed a trans-Atlantic crossing aboard Viking Sky Lisbon-Miami in December 2019. Viking pulled out all the stops creating an elegant & cozy holiday atmosphere. Special Christmas Dinner menu in The Restaurant followed by Christmas carols & a grand chocolate buffet in The Living Room. The Christmas decorations had a distinct Scandinavian Modern look to them, which complimented the ships decor, minimalist, beautiful, yet unobtrusive. It felt like being a kid waking up on the ship Christmas morning. & just like you mentioned about the Regent crew, Viking crew put their heart & soul into everything they did! I see you're off soon on a Viking River! Would LOVE to see you aboard a Viking Ocean! You bringing along Poppy & taking this cruise as a multi generational family experience makes this beautifully personal to us viewers, thank-you.

The only holidays we have been on a ship for is Halloween and St. Patrick’s Day. Would love to do a Christmas or New Year’s! I think it would even be really cool to be on for Super Bowl! Great video! New subscribers!
@@callingallports it was a lot of fun! There were a lot of creepy photo backgrounds, Halloween decorations that were completely gone November 1 lol, and there was a special dessert in the dining room. Lots of fun activities for kids and adults. Our kids did trick-or-treating around the ship, scavenger hunt style, that ended at a Halloween dance party.
Many years ago, I was fortunate enough to be with my Mother, my best friend and his wife on a 10 day Caribbean cruise during Christmas. It was like being in Neiman Marcus during the holiday season. The ship was decked out beautifully!
