Love your show, always felt like I had just spent a wonderful delightful hour with my best friend or sister. Sometimes I found myself tearing up for no reason but just simply a wonderful warm cozy familiarity rose up in my heart.
I love your show!! I love how down to earth Vivian is & how she's not too high & mighty to take advice from experienced home cooks, most Chefs act like they know everything bc they went to cooking school. I just can't say enough good things about the entire show.
I have to say this is the best show on TV I watch a lot of cooking shows but Vivian you do your show great happy holidays to you and your family you remind me of my great grandfather both perfectionists you are the best
Thank You, Vivian! Even though this is 8 years belated. I've been following you on TV for awhile, now going back thru RU-vid and discovering LOTS more👍🙃
Vivian, MERRY CHRISTMAS. Thank you for this holiday show, enjoyed it (not so much the hog part but...it's nature's way) I've watched your shows in the past, you have a unique way all your own, it's a good thing. (feel a "but" coming on?) With you being a Chef and all, and having your own show in food, one huge thing that irks me most of all is your hair! You have to keep those long locks up and off of your shoulders when you're in the kitchen. Whether you're looking down mixing something or in front of the stove stirring, your hair is (9 times out of 10) down and hanging all around the food. I When you went to the elderly woman's home to help with cutting up the oranges (with the mayo for the "salad") your hair was all over the place in her kitchen. I imagined her saying to you, "Now Vivian, before you help me, you have to put your hair up and out of the way." But sadly she didnt. I've worked in kitchens for many years and I've had long hair my whole life. It's the first "cardinal rule" when you work in a kitchen.....GET YOUR HAIR COVERED OR UP AND OUT OF THE WAY! Vivian, you're suppose to be a pro, do as pros do! If I so much see a human hair around food, I will throw up - it's true - let alone see a hair on my plate or worse - in my food - it's no way I'm finishing that meal and it's for sure I will never go back to that restaurant again. Vivian, you're great but Dear Chef, for the love of God and your customers, TIE YOUR HAIR BACK!!!!!! Love ya, ♡♡♡
Vivian, if you monitor the comments, I have a question about your tomato pie. Would it be beneficial to Concasse them? It would insure most juice and any bitterness from the seeds get removed. Just would like your thoughts? I am just an average Yankee Chef....
I hate to say it, I never understood how she lasted as long as she did. The native southerners had the best food fare. She could only appropriate real authentic Southern cuisine from others because sadly her food was such utter trash.
