I’m in the middle of my first listen of the Christopher Lee Children of Hurin reading! It’s so good!! Your channel has 100% sparked and facilitated my DEEEEP dive into the world of Tolkien. When I first started watching I had only watched the Peter Jackson films, read the Hobbit and partially started the Silmarillion. Fast forward to now and add on the rest kf the Silmarilion, LotR books, the appendices, Unfinished Tales, The Book of Lost Tales, Children of Hurin, and Rings of Power, and I’m not stopping any time soon. Keep up the awesome work and heres to 1 million!

Mmmmm… I don’t know if Bilbo exactly *willingly* gave Frodo the ring… perhaps it was his original intent, but Gandalf definitely had to intimidate him to get him to follow through if I remember correctly. Sam however… To be fair though, Bilbo had the ring for like 50 years, and Sam only had it for like 8 hours *maximum.*

Wish I had caught t this and got a question. Going on the topic of movie/TV rights, my question would have been: We all spent years having the animated film as our movie about the LotR syory. What would your view/opinion be if the rights were open to seeing the chance/hope/possiblity of Ralph Bakshi FINISHING his version of the Lord of the rings?

Hi Matt. Congratulations on 900k. Your channel is so cool. I LOVE the BBC dramatisation. Bill Nighy is wonderful as Sam and I love his singing of the Fall of Gil-gallad and In Western Lands. Also I love the Silmarillion and The Hobbit read by Martin Shaw. I am sorry to hear you lost your friend in an accident. As for you, delving into Tolkien's world and PJ's movies helped me deal with a personal tragedy. Because of the way they died I struggle to watch the end of FOTR when Sam nearly drowns or the dead marshes in TTT. I would like to ask what you think about the age ratings for the movies, particularly TTT and ROTK because of supernatural horror and violence? Do you agree with me that they should be for 15 yes and older? P.S. Any chance of getting an interview with Orlando Bloom (Legolas)? He is so cool.

Keeping something a mystery for an extended time is an unfortunate common trope these days. Like the TV show Lost and so many others. I don't find it entertaining, and it is just a way to extend a show. Good story should keep your attention and not hiding something. It's cheap if it is relied upon too heavily. A little bit is okay.
