You are so well organized! I was a mess when my two boys were little. I have never used fresh fruit in Charoset because I want it to last several days. The recipe I have worked out and used for the last two years is: One part of dry pitted prunes, one part dry pitted dates, one part dry pitted apricots and one part wine. Put in the refrigerator and let it soak one day. Take out the fruit and mince. Put the minced fruit back in the container and add a half part of finely chopped pecans and more wine. Put it in the refrigerator for another day. Keep portions you are not using in the refrigerator. It lasts all week and we eat it like a jam spread.

Wow thank you so much for sharing this recipe!! It sounds delicious and reminds me of something I had once at a Sephardic seder. I am going to try it out next year for seder, thank you so much for sharing it and watching my video!

Throw a lemon slice with eggs as they boil. Peel comes off easily.

Beautiful table. Perfect menu. Barry (my Barry) said it's fine to wear stains proudly ... if they're directly related to cooking delicious food. But raincoat was brilliant! We enjoyed catching glimpses of our mishpokhe.

The way my family makes charoset is we chop the apples using a kitchen aid food chopper which you can find for like $20! And then you just mix everything else in by hand! The apples don’t get quite as finely chopped but still delicious! We don’t use nuts because of allergies in the family but it should still work

So cute in your hubby's raincoat! That was so funny. I always chop everything for my chorosets. My mom liked the food processor because it was easier but I always thought it was too mushy. Your table looked beautiful and the food yummy!!! :)

Next year will be my 1st year hosting Passover. We also celebrate "Easter"....I put the " because my dad was raised Catholic and he loves Easter dinner food. So...we basically celebrate the Easter Bunny and food. LOL. But, they tend to fall in the same week and many years the same weekend. And its getting to be too much for my mom to do both. But, we HAVE to do Easter at my mom's. Its all about my dad and my daughter (the 1st grandchild) named the big tree in their backyard the Easter tree. There's kinda a rabbit hole type space in the roots and she always believed that's where the Easter bunny came out to hide the eggs. LOL. So.....we discussed my hosting Passover starting next year. You make it look so easy! Ha ha ha ha ha! We all know its like 2 days worth of work. LOL.
@MyJewishMommyLife
@MyJewishMommyLife 6 лет назад
Wow your Easter celebration sounds lovely, I'm sure all the chocolate eggs and bunny etc. are lots of fun!! The Passover meal definitely takes some prep work for sure, but I think because I kept the dinner menu very simple it helped a lot. All the best of luck for trying it out next year!!! And happy holidays!! Thank you so much for watching my video!

For easy peel eggs, post boiling it, give the eggs an ice bath. And let them sit in the ice water until all the ice has melted... and then some! Seriously leave them for like an annoying amount of time. That gives the like weird film on the inside a chance to separate from the egg itself. So then just crack up the shell like normal, and begin peeling, making sure to hook the film on your way. And then it'll come off in nauseous one big piece

@My Jewish Mommy Life : The Honey Mustard Chicken... you have a recipe for that? I’m on a hunt for Seder recipes for things I have on hand. This year is obviously a ‘scrapping’ together instead of the usual Pesach shopping. If you could share it, I would appreciate it! Thanks!!
@MyJewishMommyLife
@MyJewishMommyLife 4 года назад
Lol literally just oil honey and mustard and bake at 375 for 45 minutes!
@sisterspooky
@sisterspooky 4 года назад
@My Jewish Mommy Life : Sorry to ask a stupid question, but what ratio of each and what kind of mustard do you use? Dijon? Yellow? Spicy? Or another variety? I was fortunate enough to score several packs of chicken leg quarters and I _really_ want to try your recipe. The Shabbat chicken recipe you shared with us was so delicious, we’ve been making it ever since. Speaking of Shabbat, it’s about to start. Thank you so much for your reply and I hope you’re enjoying your Passover (as well as possible) and Shabbat Shalom! 😃
