New Year actually heralds in the flowery and fruit season. That's why it's hottest during this part of the year so that trees can ripen the fruit and be ready. We too observe New Year and it has always revived us a new start. Going to temple does calm your soul..

May the New Year bring you many happy memories Lucie and Lahiru! I am totally against fireworks during any festive period. It is hazardous to all animals, and the people in this country are completely deaf and blind to understand the true meaning of compassion. Hope the dogs at the sanctuary are well and happy.
