Such a touching life story of Ezra Jack Keats. I love The Snowy Day but Maggie and the Pirate was always my favorite.

I remember this author and illustrator of The Snowy Day. This book received a caldecot medal. Nice documentary about this person.

One book of Ezra Jack Keats that I love is John Henry because it's a tall tale.

I'm Polish, but I'm happy his family moved to the US. The same can be said for Anita Lobel and Maurice Sendak. All of them Polish Jews who moved to the US. We are lucky they did before it was too late. Being Jewish at that time wasn't easy in any country, but Europe was the worst. The creators of Curious Goerge, H.A. Ray and Margret Ray, also escaped just in time, although not from Poland. For them it was really an escape, not just a move.
