While want to hurts these bothers.someone killed my 21 years bother for 20 Dollars coming home for works .my mother have a heart attack and die in 3 days she was 48 years old I lost my bother and my mother that what you do to family for what .look at that poor father .I hope you go to jail for the rest your life .just look what you did to this family .my 5 years son was killed my life is no good I have my other kids to live for .but it so hard .😢

I really don’t think the mother or father had time to say goodbye. They were rushed. I really feel like the funeral people should have taken over. I think the pastor should have stayed in the pulpit. He should’ve not closed that casket with the family. I don’t have nothing against the pastor but it hurts so bad to see how the family was rushed. That family lost 2 family member. He should have been sitting with the family when the service was going on until it was time to eulogize.

I agree. That irritated me so much. I felt like Pastor Vernon was not showing compassion. Pushing them along and motioning for them to move along quickly was hard to watch. I'm not surprised though. That Pastor was mean to me and my daughter back on Aug 9th, 2009 when we lost everything in a flood and were homeless. I was told to reach out to the Word Church but when I met the Pastor he said he couldn't help us if we weren't members of the church. I broke out crying because I felt that was our last hope. As my daughter and I started to leave the church a gentleman named Brother Roy, Royce, Ray (I'm sorry I forgot his name but I think it started with an R) called us back into the church and let us relax on the pews since it was late and he saw me and my babygirl was exhausted. He also got us what we wanted to eat and he gave me some money so we could purchase hygiene items we needed and he gave me some info that helped me and my daughter out a lot. I thank God he showed me and my daughter mercy that night. 🙏🏽

@@patbeavers2395 Yes, he was very rude and coldhearted. Close the door? On the love ones? I think if the family was paying out of pocket for this funeral it would've gone a whole different way. Coming down from the stage to push people along was so tacky on his part but like I said I'm not surprised.... I'm still shocked 14 yrs later that a pastor was acting like that towards a mother and her child who just lost everything and who wasn't from up here in Ohio. Didn't care at all. Who cares if you are a member of a church or not. If a person is reaching out for help especially in my situation at that particular time then help them if you call yourself being a man of the cloth. That's why a lot of these pastors are being exposed now because their intentions are not pure. I felt Pastor Vernon made this funeral about him. It was like a big production to him and he is so arrogant. Laughing and joking about some fraternity colors and trying to recruit new members for his church at the expense of this man's pain. I can tell that Dad was not feeling some of that stuff that pastor was saying when they would put the camera on his face. I'm sorry but I just felt like no real compassion was shown to this family. It was just one big production to promote the church!!!
