*Imam Suyuti clearly said that the essence of celebrating Mawlid is Sunnah, by quoting a Hadees in which Prophet (saw) itself celebrated his birth by slaughtering an animal and distributing it., but the way in which people celebrating it is Bid'ah Hasana which have came in all fields like Mus'haf, Bukhari, Madrasas etc..* *Even Ibn Taymiyya was forced to say celebrating Mawlid is better in some of his work...!*

He concluded it to be Sunnah , because he understood it's not Aqeeqah(prophet's Aqeeqah have already done.. Aqeeqah is done at this age.?) and it's the best thing to become happy and celebrate for the birth of Prophet(s.a.w). @@extremeTruth23 oh… so are you saying suyuti understood hadith more than prophet who narrated this hadith to sahabis, neither prophet, nor sahabi or imam bukhari or muslim who collected this hadith celebrated milaad annually. Keep each individuals in their own place, suyuti didn’t come down from heaven. This birthday celebration customs were started by pagans. @@SoubhanAllahAlhamdoulilAllah MUBARAKS of Eid Milad un Nabi to you firstly in this blessed of month of Rabbi. I see your views are of the Wahabi/Deobandi /Salafi AND AHMADIYA.. This type of Islam was born in 1860 and of course 1924. WE FOLLOW THE ISLAM OF 1445 years ago at the time of the Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him. Let's state the facts now for your kind attention. Out of all the 66 or so countries of the Islamic world ALL of them have Mawlid as a Public Holiday EXCEPT Saudi Arabia and Qatar and of course the Ahmadiya, that should tell you what kind of Islam or sect you are following as obviously in Saudi they are Salafi /Wahabi. ALHAMDAULILLAH even the Shia celebrate Mawlid and every Muslim does. The Shaitan is the only one that cried and did not celebrate the Mawlid. As for the Sahaba you say didn't celebrate it and so on... Who was it that recited Na'ath infront of the Prophet rejoicing his birth, do you know ? ALLAH AZA'WA'JALS best creation was the Prophet and at the time of the Birth do you know what was happening 'the miracles...' Why were they're only Son's born in that year...? What was the Kaaba doing at the time. Wasn't all this Rejoicing at the time of Mawlid. For us the Suunah al Jammat the most biggest favour is the birth of the Prophet and in the Qur'aan it says REJOICE ON ALLAHs BLESSINGS WHEN YOU RECEIVE and the BIGGEST Blessing is the birth of the Prophet. EVERY YEAR MAWLIDS are growing around the world. You will NEVER stop that. They are happening in Makkah and Madina (inside) and openly infront of the Prophets Mosque. It is only a matter of time before it happens in the Blessed Land of HIJAZ. IN SHAA ALLAH.

Qur'aan is read firstly then na'ath then speeches on Mawlid and more poetry and Na'ath and Zikr, darood shareef and dua and food.. WHY ARE PEOPLE LIKE YOURSELF STOPPING PEOPLE COMING TO THE MASJID ASTHAGHFIRALLAH.. That is exactly what you are doing brother. Example for you. A brother doesn't goto the masjid or rarely goes or goes just on Jummu'a.. BUT as soon as Rabi ul Awal comes the same brother puts his hat and robe on and goes to the mosque to sit and listen about their Prophet.. So you see you are stopping people from coming to the Masjid by saying its Biddah. BUT ALHAMDAULILLAH now people are coming to the Mawlid gatherings even in Makkah the Imam kaaba did a mini sort of Mawlid. Think before you deter people from the house of ALLAH

The answer is: 1) to keep on the sunna path, because bid3a at the beginning may seem ok, but then it turns out to be a big problem, just look around how different people celebrate it; 2) to keep united, because more obvious is to follow the sunna and leave innovations, that's what we all agree on, so it helps us to stay united more than that - it's obligatory. Saying (as many people do, but not the sheikh, I know) that only "wahabis" deny celebrating mawlid is not fair. Trying to keep in touch with the ongoing changes, trying to adapt the religion to whatever goes around is not a good idea, by it's definition it will end with a mutated religion, that's not acceptable.

The Prophet (s.a.w.) is the one who taught us our faith. If it wasn't for him and all the tribulation he had to go through, Islam would not have spread and we would not have been Muslims. Celebrating (i.e. remembering) the birth of this revolutionary man is part of acknowledging the great sacrifices he had to make and the adversity he had overcome to spread our beautiful faith. Not acknowledging his efforts is ingratitude. May Allah send his peace and blessings upon the Prophet.

Lol, he's a man of great knowledge mashallah. But, listening to (very few) of his videos, I've noticed he's really flexible about alot of the things concerning the rulings of Islam. He mentions the following on his other videos. 1) It's not haram to masturbate. 2) Shaving the beard for work purposes is not haram. 3) It's okay to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and what not as long as we keep it halal. 4) Now, it's ok to celebrate Mawlid. I've got little knowledge in Islam, but with all due respect, I don't think to be "flexible" (about the religion) is the way which the prophet have taught us. I totally sympathize with him about him saying that we shouldn't make such a matter (I wouldn't say trivial tho) into a biiig matter. It may discourage the believers who's just started to get close to Allah. However, that's not a reason to invent... Teach the believers the basics; the Salah, dhikir, and soo many other simple sunnah that we can follow. Why invent? But let's just slide away all the "bidah bidah bidah" argument away for his sake, the surprising fact is that, in fact, the birth of the prophet is actually an issue of dispute... So, when they celebrate mawlid, who are they really celebrating? May Allah forgive us all. Remember, Islam started as something strange, and it will end as something strange.

Don't forget that every Bid'ah is backed by good intention. So with your analogy, every Bid'ah will end being rewarded positively. This is contradictory to the Hadith that Say every Bid'ah is misguidance. Shiekh, you are better than this.
@fifafreebies8941
@fifafreebies8941 2 года назад
The Bid'ah being disparaged by the salaf in the quotes provided is the blameworthy bid'ah which contradicts the Quran, the Sunnah, or unanimous agreement of the Muslims. Let us bring it back to the Hadith you quoted inshaAllah. Unfortunately, there are some people who misinterpret this sahih hadith related by Abu Dawud: "كل بدعة ضلالة" which means: "Most / Nearly all innovations are innovations of misguidance." Those who are misguided interpret the word (kul) as `every' and thus claim this hadith means: 'Every innovation is an innovation of misguidance'. Their claim is unfounded for two reasons. Linguistically, this hadith is similar to the hadith related by al-Bayhaqiyy: "كل عين زانية" which clearly does not mean: "Every eye gazes the look of the adulterer;" rather, it means "Most people are guilty of the forbidden look." The person blind since birth would surely not have the forbidden look, and it is known the Prophets would never commit such an abject sin. The word "كل” (kul) as used in both hadiths refers to `most,' although it can mean "every" it does not mean this in all cases. As a matter of fact, in the explanation of Sahih Muslim, an-Nawawiyy said: "The saying of the Prophet, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, is among the terms which are "عام مخصوص" (^am makhsus) i.e., a general statement giving a specific meaning; which is a known field in Islam, and the meaning of the hadith is "most innovations are innovations of misguidance." This field the"عام مخصوص" is seen in the Qur'an in Ayah 3 of Surat al-Ahqaf: [تدمر كل شىء] which means the wind Allah sent as punishment to the people of ^Ad demolished most [and not all] of the things. Here is the ayah in full: تُدَمِّرُ كُلَّ شَىْء بِأَمْرِ رَبِّهَاٍمَا تَذَرُ مِن شَىْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلاَّ جَعَلَتْهُ كَالرَّمِيم كَذلِكَ نَجْزِي الْقَوْمَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ ِ Tudammiru kulla shay-in bi-amri rabbiha faasbahoo la yura illa masakinuhum kathalika najzee alqawma almujrimeena Destroying all things [kulla shay-in] by commandment of its Lord And morning found them so that naught could be seen save their dwellings. [Surah al-Ahqaf] Thus the dwellings were not destroyed although "all" [kulla shay-in] things had been destroyed. "All" [Kullu] here specifically refers to the lives of the unbelievers of Ad and their properties, but not their dwellings! So again, the interpretation of the term kullu "every" to mean "all-encompassing without exception" is incorrect. In arabic it may mean "nearly all" or "the vast majority" and this was the understanding of Imam Shafi'i and others. There is another example in Surah al-Naml (27:23) illustrating this fact..... So what is required is a harmonised understanding of the above quoted hadith from our Nabi sallallahu alayhi wa sallam with his following statement: Imam Muslim related, through the route of Jarir Ibn ^Abdullah, the Prophet said: "من سنَّ في الإسلام سنة حسنة فله أجرها وأجر من عمل بها إلى يوم القيامة، لا ينقص من أجورهم شىء ومن سنَّ فِى الإسلام سنة سيئة فعليه وزرها ووزر من عمل بها إلى يوم القيامة لا ينقص من أوزارهم شىء" "The one who innovates a good practice [sunnatun hasana] in Islam has its reward and a reward similar to those who follow him in it--until the Day of Judgment--without lessening their reward. The one who innovates a practice of misguidance would be sinful for it and has sins similar to those who follow him in it--until the Day of Judgment--without lessening their sins." How did the Ulema harmonise between these hadith? Imam Nawawi said in Sahih Muslim (6-21) "The Prophet's saying every innovation is a general-particular and it is a reference to most innovations. The linguists say, "Innovation is any act done without a previous pattern, and it is of five different kinds.'" Imam Nawawi also said in Tahzeeb al Asma' wal Sifaat, "Innovation in religious law is to originate anything which did not exist during the time of the Prophet, and it is divided into good and bad." He also said, "Al-muhdathat (pl. for muhdatha) is to originate something that has no roots in religious law. In the tradition of religious law it is called innovation, and if it has an origin within the religious law, then it is not innovation. Innovation in religious law is disagreeable, unlike in the language where everything that has been originated without a previous pattern is called innovation regardless of whether it is good or bad." Shaykh Ibn Hajar Al Asqalani, the commentator on Al Bukhari, said, "Anything that did not exist during the Prophet's time is called innovation, but some are good while others are not." Abu Na'eem, narrated from Ibrahim Al Junaid, said, "I heard Ash-Shafi'i saying, "Innovation is of two types; praiseworthy innovation and blameworthy innovation, and anything that disagrees with the Sunnah is blameworthy.'" Imam Albayhaqi narrated in Manaqib Ash-Shafi'i that Ash-Shafi'i said, "Innovations are of two types: that which contradicts the Qu'ran, the Sunnah, or unanimous agreement of the Muslims is a innovation of deception, while a good innovation does not contradict any of these things." Al `Izz bin Abdussalam said, at the end of his book, Al Qawa'id, "Innovation is divided into obligatory, forbidden, recommended, disagreeable and permissible, and the way to know which is which is to match it against the religious law." And Allah knows best.

Imam Shafi'i defined Bid'ah as: الْبِدْعَةُ بِدْعَتَانِ: بِدْعَةُ مَحْمُودَةٌ وَبِدْعَةُ مَذْمُومَةٍ، فَمَا وَافَقَ السُّنَّةَ فَهُوَ مَحْمُودٌ وَمَا خَالَفَ السُّنَّةَ فَهُوَ مَذْمُومٌ. Bid'ah is two bid'ahs: praiseworthy bid'ah and blameworthy bid'ah. Thus, whatever agrees with the Sunnah, it is praiseworthy and whatever conflicts with the Sunnah, it is blameworthy. (Ibn Hajar, Fath al-Bari, Vol. 4, p. 257) Ibn Hazm defined it as follows: Bid'ah in deen refers to anything not mentioned in the Qur'an nor the Sunnah of the Prophet (saw). However, some bid'ah acts are rewardable and their doers are excused according to their good intentions. This is about what it is permissible in origin as from Umar who said: "What an excellent bid'ah this is." This signifies every good deed generally implied in the text as recommended, even if its application is established in the text. The other genre, however, is blameworthy and its doer shall not be excused. This genre signifies what the clear evidence was established against its invalidity. (Tawfiq al-Ra'i, Al-Bid'ah, p. 88) Ghazali also stated: As regard to what is claimed as innovated after the death of the Prophet (saw), in fact, not every innovated act is legally prohibited. However, what is prohibited is the innovation disagrees with the established Sunnah or abolishes a legal command despite the existence of its underlying cause. Innovation, on the contrary, might have been obligated in some cases when the underlying cases changed. (Ghazali, Ihya Ulum al-Deen, Vol. 2, p. 3) Ali al-Qari’ said: In al-Azhar it says, “This means every evil bid’ah is misguidance, due to his (upon him blessing and peace) statement ‘One who establishes a good practice (sunnatan hasana) in Islam, he will have its reward and the reward of those who practice it.’1 Abu Bakr and ‘Umar collected the Qur’an, Zayd wrote it in the mushaf and it was reworked in the time of ‘Uthman.” Nawawi said: “Bid’ah is everything done without a prior example and, in the Shari’ah, it is an invention of that which did not exist in the era of Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and grant him peace). And his statement, ‘Every bid’ah is misguidance’ is a general [statement that is] qualified (‘amm makhsus)." Izz al-Din ibn ‘Abd al-Salam said at the end of Kitab al-Qawa’id: "Bid’ah is either obligatory (wajib) like learning Nahw to understand the words of Allah and His Messenger, the composition of Usul al-Fiqh and the discourse of narrator-criticism (al-jarh wa l-ta’dil); or prohibited (haram) like the path of the Jabariyyah, the Qadariyyah, the Murji’ah, the Mujassimah, and refuting these groups is from the obligatory bid’ahs because the protection of the Shari’ah from these bid’ahs is a communal obligation (fard kifayah); or recommended (mandub) like creating an endowment or [creating] schools, and every performance of a good deed not known in the early period, and like Tarawih i.e. in a general congregation, and the discourse of the minutiae of the Sufis; or disliked (makruh) like decorating mosques and adorning mushafs [meaning according to Shafi’is, as according to Hanafis it is permissible]; or permissible (mubah) like shaking hands after Subh and ‘Asr [i.e. also according to Shafi’is for otherwise according to Hanafis it is disliked], increasing delicacies in food and drink and making houses spacious, and extending [one’s] sleeves. And some of these have been disputed [i.e. as we previously set forth]."

@@Meliodas.Dragon1 From the context of the story, it is clear that what is meant by the words "whoever starts a good thing (sunnah hasanah) in Islam" means: Whoever revives a part of the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), or teaches it to others, or commands others to follow it, or acts according to it so that others see him or hear about it and follow his example. This is also indicated by the hadeeth narrated by Abu Hurayrah, may Allaah be pleased with him, who said: "A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), and he urged the people to give him charity. A man said: 'I have such-and-such,' and there was no person left in the gathering who did not give something in charity to him, whether it was a large amount or a little. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: 'Whoever starts something good, and others follow his lead, will have a complete reward and a reward like that of those who followed him, without it detracting in the least from their reward. Whoever starts something bad, and others follow his lead, will bear a complete burden of sin, and a burden like that of those who followed him, without it detracting in the least from their burden. (Reported by Ibn Maaajah in al-Sunan, no. 204) It should be clear from the above, with no room for doubt, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was not allowing innovation in matters of deen (religion), nor was he opening the door to what some people call "bid'ah hasanah," for the following reasons: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) stated repeatedly that: "Every newly-invented thing is a bid'ah (innovation), every bid'ah is a going astray, and every going astray will be in the Fire." (Reported by al-Nisaa'i in al-Sunan, Salaat al-'Eedayn, Baab kayfa al-Khutbah). Reports with the same meaning were narrated via Jaabir (may Allaah be pleased with him) by Ahmad, via al-'Irbaad ibn Saariyah by Abu Dawud and via Ibn Mas'ood (may Allaah be pleased with him) by Ibn Maajah. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to say, when beginning a khutbah (sermon): " The best of speech is the Book of Allaah and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad. The worst of things are those which are newly-invented, and every innovation is a going astray" (reported by Muslim, no. 867) If every bid'ah is a going astray, how can some people then say that there is such a thing in Islam as "bid'ah hasanah"? By Allaah, this is an obvious contradiction of the statement and warning of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) stated that whoever innovates something new in the deen (religion) will have his deed rejected, and Allaah will not accept it, as is stated in the hadeeth narrated by 'Aa'ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her), who said: "The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: 'Whoever innovates something in this matter of ours that is not a part of it will have it rejected.'" (Reported by al-Bukhaari, Fath al-Baari, no. 2697). How can anybody then say that bid'ah is acceptable and it is permitted to follow it? When a person innovates something and adds to the deen something that does not belong to it, he is implying a number of bad things, each worse than the last, for example: That the religion is lacking, that Allaah did not complete and perfect it, and that there is room for improvement. This clearly contradicts the statement in the Qur'aan (interpretation of the meaning): " This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion" [al-Maa'idah 5:3] That the religion remained imperfect from the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) until the time when this innovator came along and completed it with his own ideas. That the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was "guilty" of either of two things: either he was ignorant of this "good innovation," or he knew about it but concealed it, thus letting his ummah down by not conveying it. That the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), his Companions and the righteous salaf (early generations) missed out on the reward of this "good innovation" - until this innovator came along and earned it for himself, despite the fact that he should say to himself, "If it was truly good, they would have been the first to do it." Opening the door to bid'ah leads to changing the deen (religion) and opens the way for personal whims and opinions, because every innovator implies that what he is introducing is something good, so whose opinion are we supposed to follow, and which of them should we take as a leader? Following bid'ah leads to the cancelling out of sunnah practices and the ways of the salaf. Real life bears witness that whenever a bid'ah is followed, a sunnah practice dies out; the reverse is also true. 👇 bit.ly/bidah-hasana

The Prophet ﷺ and the Sahabas may Allah be pleased with them didn't celebrate the mawlid of the Prophet ﷺ, it is not permissble for the Muslim and the Muslima to celebrate it and we must warn our brothers and sisters about celebrating it because it's amongst the innovations and the Prophet ﷺ said: “Beware of newly-invented matters, for every newly-invented matter is an innovation, every innovation is a going astray, and every going astray will be in the Fire.” ((Authentic narration))

So is it ok that these mawlid parties are held once a year annuallly like Eid? Is it ok that the roads are blocked, there is loud noises and demonstrations carried out, their is dancing in the masjid and headbanging in the masjid? There is people calling on the messenger SAW for help. Wake up, its not from the sunnah and the deviation worsens when you open doors for these actions.

Most of them rather, all of them, belonged to the Mudar tribe. The face of the Prophet (ﷺ) changed when he saw them starving. Then he went into his house and came out; then he commanded Bilal (May Allah be pleased with him) to proclaim Adhan (call to prayers). So he proclaimed Adhan and recited Iqamah and the Prophet (ﷺ) led the Salat. Then he delivered a Khutbah saying, "O mankind! Be dutiful to your Rubb, Who created you from a single person (Adam), and from him (Adam) He created his wife (Eve), and from them both He created many men and women; and fear Allah through Whom you demand your (natural) rights, and do not sever the relations of kinship. Surely, Allah is Ever an All-Watcher over you." (4: 1) He also recited the Ayah which is in the end of Surat Al-Hashr: "O you who believe! Fear Allah and keep your duty to Him. And let every one look what he has sent forth for the tomorrow". (59: 18). Thereafter, every man gave in charity Dinar, Dirham, clothes, measure-fulls of wheat and measure-fulls of dates till he said: "(Give in charity) be it half a date". Then a man of the Ansar came with a bag which was difficult for him to hold in his hand. Thereafter, the people came successively (with charity) till I saw two heaps of food and clothes. I noticed that the face of Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was glowing like that of the bright moon or glittering gold. Then he (ﷺ) said, "Whosoever introduces a good practice in Islam, there is for him its reward and the reward of those who act upon it after him without anything being diminished from their rewards. And whosoever introduces an evil practice in Islam, will shoulder its sin and the sins of all those who will act upon it, without diminishing in any way their burden" [Muslim]. Maulid is BID'A. We have enough Sunnah from Prophet Muhammad Swallallahu alaihi wa Ssallama. Why do we have to invent new ones? BID'A is tremendous misguidance

Mawlid is sunnah just praise prophet muhammed SAW as prophet and Allah's beloved. It's a way to praise him. In the Qur'an , allah told us that , Allah almighty and his angels are praising prophet. Then why we need a yasir as ~Proof~ He (yasir)is not proof for islam , as well as he is not need of praise or not praise. Why he is a evidence. Mawlid is as well , just have sunnah in life more than dirty arguments like this.

In mawlid we read poetry for the prophet which does not involve any type of Shirk in it . We praise our lord for sending our prophet and in his love we celebrate. We do not party but we all come together and read salawaat. We smile and with joy wave the beautiful flag of Rasool of both worlds. ONLY THOSE WHO LOVE RASOOL ALLAH TRUELLY WOULD CELEBRATE MAWLID. please take out the confusion from your mind and speak to some actual sufi Scolars.

@@KarimaFoundation Good try. I don’t get why people don’t get or understand Hadith. It so simple if the Prophet (SAW) didn’t do it don’t do it ( this is in regards to deen ) .
