Celebrating the 73rd Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China today, #HKUST held a flag-raising ceremony on the morning of 1 October 2022 on campus. HKUST Council Chairman the Hon. Andrew LIAO Cheung-Sing, President Prof. Wei SHYY, Court & Council Members, and Senior Management, together with many faculty members, staff, students, alumni, and their family members attended the event in person and online to commemorate the National Day. The audience enjoyed great performances of the National Anthem and the iconic song “Pearl of the Orient” by award-winning operatic duo Mr. Chen Chen and Ms. Louise Kwong.
