United have had 3 world class goalkeepers since the premier league started. Schmeichel, Van Der Sar and De Gea. David has been at United longer than the other 2 were and also had the challenge of playing under 5 (soon to be 6) different managers. He’s the only reason we didn’t finish below mid table this season imo.

Last Decade, He has been one of the best & consistent goalkeepers you will ever see. Except for that dreadful 2018/19 season, he is the reason half of the time that Manchester United wins. If United was winning trophies like earlier times, no one would've even talked about Ederson and Alisson as much.
eventho he cant use his foot as good as goalie nowadays but i always put him as the best goalkeeper in this decade.. his consistent, his shotstopping- unbelievable
David de Gea will always go down as one of the best ever Goalkeeper's shame he did not have more of a competent defence in front of him but he still made some world class saves
With a more competent defense I think he could rival or even beat van der sar's record defo the only reason (minus ronaldos late goals) United have won matches this season

I strongly believe that without De Gea, we would have dropped to a mid-table side during the end of Van Gaal's run and would have only gotten into the Europa League once in 17/18. The only reason he won't go down as one of the greatest of all time is because he's spent the last 7 or 8 years behind an average to championship level defence
Just imagine DeGea with Vidic, Rio in their prime infront of him and having Keane in the mid. Straight 3 successive trebles . ManUtd defence has let him.down for a decade
I went to his debut at west brom. He really struggled in that game. But I remember believing in him. And all the United fans still got behind him. Amazing goal keeper 💯🔥🔥🔥🔥
United is so blessed to have not one but three world class goal keepers pretty much one after the other. But while schmeichel was a physical monster and VDS was the definition of consistent, Da Gea is a saint that finds his way to save goals like they're miracles.

Last encounter at Wembley against Spurs. Spurs did everything the could to get a goal, but there was an invisible wall with a man named David De Gea controlling it. Spurs pumped everything the could in the 2nd half of that game, but still got 0 goals. On any other day against any other goal keeper, Spurs could have scored 3-4.
Schmeichel legend , van der sar legend and de gea current on field legend and he's only 31! I love the fact that our goalkeepers are all long lasting and eventually become an important figure in the club's history. But de gea deserves a champions league trophy.

If you looks at the goalkeepers of the Premier League, Mendy is good, but he has Rudiger in front of him, Ederson is good, but he has Laporta in front of him, Allison is good, but he has VVD in front of him, Schmeichel is good, but he has Evans in front of him, now back to the question, who play in front of DDG? I remember when he was still new, they were saying he had big shoes to fill and it wasn't an exaggeration either. Schmeichel and Van Der Sar are goalkeepers with legendary status. But now he definitely is up there along side them

Seriously don't get why our fansbase turns on him so much. He is the only player post Fergie Era who has been consistently there putting up world class performances. He had his bad days as well but common like he saved our defence for atleast 5 years straight. He is still there pulling out incredible saves every week. One of the only players who fought for the shirt when others didn't. He is an absolute monster goalkeeper. I remember the time when he came into the club and everyone thought he ain't good enough. Boy did he prove everyone wrong for over a decade. He is Manchester United legend and people should acknowledge what he has done on the pitch for this club over the years. Deserves all the respect from the united fans. I hope he stays because he is still a world class keeper and would only get better under ETH.
Coz they are dumb bastards with no ball knowledge thats why how can anyone in our fanbase want this guy gone he’s absolutely fantastic he’s saved our arses more than i can count in moments where we have needed a player to step up hes stepped up im honoured to have him at united
