Moon Child brad was in charge of the audio being played live , he was meant to end the song and move on to the next one but he kept it going , so micheal started singing the song but with different words like “ brad what are you gonna do” and “jobs gone” . Personally I thought this comment was very ignorant 🤦🏾♀️... I thought the same thing, Taylor Swift only got to places because of her white privilege. And that is partly true. You can not deny that she was partly given more opportunities due to her race. But it wasn’t until I was 20 (3 years ago cause ya bitch just had her bday) that I went through and listened to her songs, every single album sucked me in deeper and deeper. The songs that are played on the radio are catchy money makers. Then I realized she’s an amazing writer & story teller. It wasn’t until I got to the album speak now that I was just blown away by how simple and complex her writing style is. Such simple phrases and words telling a complex story. It reminds me of a book saga of her life. It’s rare when you can read lyrics without listening to the song and get a plot to a storyline. Her life. She’s achieved what many great artists have achieved, yes part of it is due to privilege but I truly believe the proof in her work ethic and songs is enough to show there wasn’t a single opportunity she took for granted & that it’s never too late in your life to do the right and honest thing. Aretha was foolish in that interview, love her but she was a fool.
