About 25 years ago I bought a 1965 Series 2 Land Rover from the Orkney's. Bought unseen it was put on the ferry to Aberdeen where I collected it. Always promised myself a trip there.
That is a very slow closing cabin window 😊. For breakfast my heart says Muesli , me head says fry up ❤. The Buffet looked to have a good choice to be fair. I don’t understand the shot retakes, mine are always perfect first time, honest 😂😂😂😂
Feels ages since we disembarked! Having been to about 15 different Scottish islands we loved Orkney. We caught a local bus to Scapa which took about 45 minutes as the bus did a loop of the town and outskirts before going out to Scapa. Got off the bus at the beach and then walked up to the distillery, not bad for £2 each! Then a walk back to Kirkwall which was quicker than the bus trip as it was only actually a couple of miles. It was during the walk we made the decision to go back next year for longer as there is so much to see. I noted before our trip Apex took the Needles route out of Southampton on most of its trips, first time we have done it as not many cruise ships take that route. Agree about the cabin, as we weren't too well and the aircon dries out the air being able to have the window open overnight was a real bonus. Our last Celebrity trip was almost ten years ago and standards are still very high, however excursion prices have become eyewatering. Not sure we would choose another Edge class trip. The cabin was great, the layout of the rest of the ship didn't do it for us and Eden wasn't somewhere we wanted to spend time as we found it very busy and claustrophobic. Enjoy your future trips.
