Thank you for visiting my country Croatia and filming this beautiful vlog. I love your comments and choice of music. By the way, what music is this that you use in your videos? It is amazing!
Just came off this ship last week on cruise from Corfu, must be the worst buffet anywhere on land or at sea, very poor-quality limited choice of food, this mixed with the constant waft of an open drain didn't make for good dining, the ship is very much Benidorm at sea with Butlins type entertainment throughout. That was our first and absolute last Marella cruise, lovely staff but the ship is well past its sell by date. Don’t be fooled by amateur videos such as these portraying false elegance, the ship was built in the 90s and it shows, as they say you can’t polish a turd even if you roll it glitter.
My local Indian restaurant never asks me how spicy do I, want my curry it is always how hot 🔥 do I want it. I assume when you say you enjoy spicy food you mean you like chill which is giving heat. I'm working my way through all your vlogs, just loving them.
Just back from one week on the Marella Explorer, and can only describe it as Benidorm at sea with a lot of Butlins style entertainment, football tops seems to be the dress code and I'm no prude, I would imagine the vessel will be getting hacked to pieces in a ship wrecking yard very soon. A lot of areas smelt of open drains, poorest quality buffet ever seen (on land or sea) with maybe 4 evening choices of very poor quality food as was breakfast and lunch....................The places visited were very nice, but as for the ship its a true saying, you cant polish a turd.

I don't drink coffee so hot chocolate all the way. That's the most amazing hot chocolate I have ever seen with a bucket of mush mellows to top it off.😮
Like to see these ships get more use as I like the older ships. Most cruise lines don't have coffee makers in staterooms as they are considered a fire hazard.
Enjoyed watching your video of Egypt. My daughter's fiance is from Egypt and we hope to be able to visit one day. This look like a long tiring day for you guys but most enjoyable.
I am really enjoying watching your vlogs. We are planning to cruise May 2025 on the celestial journey. 79 idyllic Aegean Cruise. The information and everything that you have shown us gives us an idea of what we are in for. I really enjoyed watching this third one where the bar crew performed. I feel like I'm actually on the cruise. Looking forward to taking this Cruise even more so now.
My daughter and I are doing the 4 night island hopping cruise with them in July. Although it won't be on this ship, it's good to see that the service is good. Although I've been on cruises before it is my daughters first cruise and I want it to be q good experience!. Loved the whole series of vlogs from your trip, very informative and really friendly and nice to watch. Can I ask whether the main dining room has any vegetarian options? I tried to look at the menu when you paused on it, but didn't see anything. Trying to make travelling with a teenager as easy as possible!!
Glad u enjoyed them. Im fairly certain that they did have vegetarian option. They always offered a different fish dish every evening as well. They were very helpful, and I'm sure they would help prepare anything if you are not a meat eater.
I have a fitbit that helps track daily steps. Its good when you can a bit of wandering, although you don't always get a lot of steps in on long coach trips!
Hi Andy and Kirstie, hope you are both well. We just wanted to say that we really enjoyed this series and we can't wait for the next one. Look after yourselves and take care Love Paul & Marie x
I was on a Perth to Singapore via Bali, Kl, Penang, Lankwali, Phuket then back down. the straits of Malaka into Singapore where I spent 3 nights. Being from Perth the ship was mainly Australian pax. The most disorganised travellers in the world. I did the Twin Towers tour and having researched knew you have to book well in advance, I booked 2-3 months in advance. II was the only one on the ship that got to duo it as the Aussies think you can just turn up. One same me coming out of the tour and asked how I got on it. Told them you have o book months in advance. Wow what a view from that observation deck too, and you get to walk on the sky bridge too 🙂
We are enjoying your videos. My wife and I will be taking this exact cruise on Koningsdam for our 30th anniversary in September. Also, what the brand, or where did you get the grey long-sleeve shirt with the skull & crossbones on the pocket. Thanks!
You'll have a great time, that was one of our all-time favourite cruises. The top is from a company called Thrudark, set up by ex British special forces guys. www.thrudark.com
Hi Andy and Kirstie, I have enjoyed watching your journey on the cruise to Alaska. Question for Kirstie, where did you get your polar bear hat/beanie from? Thanks, Erika from sunny Perth Australia 🇦🇺 😎
Bangkok is somewhere we really want to visit - well Thailand in general! It looks so colourful and vibrant. The gold and the flowers are so beautiful. All of the temples are amazing, but wow it's busy. We've done two Ella excursions and found both didn't give enough time - even though there was time in the day to do so. Love a windy day at sea! We really must try Discovery 2 (maybe give the glass house deserts a miss!!!). Cheers 🍻
Yeah, Bangkok did look amazing. We just felt we saw a lot from the inside of a coach and really wanted to have a proper mooch about. The excursion was fine, but it didn't really offer the experience we were after. When we go back, it won't be on a cruise.
Amazing series, thanks for sharing your incredible trip. As an ex-pat now in NZ (and an ex crew member from Thomson Dream) it’s great to see how Tui / Marella have grown since the rebrand, with strong positive reviews. Next cruise….come to NZ and check out P&O Australia or one of the other Carnival corp brands sailing around these parts 😊. Keep up the great videos!
Yeah, we've enjoyed all three of our Marella cruises and they're definitely very well thought of, with lots of regular customers. Sailing Australia and New Zealand will definitely be one for the future for sure! Glad you enjoyed the videos.
I assume in the intro you were talking about the sea, nothing romantic 😂😂. It's always got to be a "full English " ❤. Bless you still give each other cards at Valentines ❤❤
It was a pity you missed your chance looking around Terminal Two Airport in Singapore! I did enjoy watching every episode of your vlogs on this Marella Asia Cruise. Thank you and looking forward to your next cruise adventure! By the way I am due to go on the Norwegian Midnight Sun cruise on the Sky Princess in Mid May. Would be great to find you both there, and I'll buy you a drink for sure. Take care.
Must’ve missed this one. Loved the moaning countdown clock. Bangkok doesn’t really appeal to us but maybe it would be good to see it via a cruise itinerary.
Really enjoyed watching this series with the added interest our friends were on the same ship at around the same time, not sure of the dates you were aboard but we never saw them anyhow hahaha. PS Linda wants to know how you never put on any weight lol. 😄😄
Loved watching this trip, so much so that we booked same cruise only for it to be cancelled 4 days later, hey ho! Keep on cruising I say! Look forward to your next adventure.x
