I’m so old fashioned, as would miss the “real” balcony - even though in practice I never sit on it and just pop on and off to watch arrival and departure. The bathroom is much nicer than I had expected from what others had said. Thanks for the tour !

That’s what a lot of folks say. I’m like you in that I’m really on the balcony for entering and leaving port, so it’s nice to be able to utilize the huge window at all times of the voyage and feel like I’m on the “Edge” of the ocean. Thank you for watching! 😊

Jjust having been on the Carnival Splendor with an old fashioned balcony, I would swap mine for the new Edge balcony any day! We had a small gap in the balcony door that let the wind and ocean sounds through all night on a rocky ocean. Not good.

This is not a suite. This is a regular infinite veranda cabin. All of the sky suites and above have traditional balconies.

After I unpack and put everything away I take the leftover hangers and put them on the closet floor or under the bed. That way they don't keep you up all night clanging into each other.

Nice video will be in AC on Apex in Dec. Funny how some beds are close to the veranda with others near the door. I wonder if it is an odd, even room number thing. We have an odd number port side so guessing our bed will be near the veranda which is opposite from your room in this video.

You can actually tell when looking at the deck plans. Wherever the “notch” into the room next to yours is indicates that’s where the bed is.

Hi Zach! We enjoy your videos. They are well done! We love Celebrity and will be on Apex twice this year (Concierge and Aquaclass) and Silhouette (Aquaclass). Does Celebrity still provide a beach tote bag in the room? We don't believe you mentioned it. Maybe it has been discontinued.

I noticed this room sticks out a little more compared to some others does that benefit with the view looking outside the ship as you can see the ‘inner’ rooms which is a nicer view?

It’s not extremely noticeable once you’re looking out the window. The beauty of the infinite verandah is that you can’t really see your neighbors unless you’re really hanging out of the window. The only way the “stick out” was noticeable was when looking to the aft, you couldn’t really see any rooms past yours.

Deck 10 is sandwiched between an all-stateroom deck below and above, so it is very quiet. Never any noise from the hallway, either.

Are the veranda doors shaded/frosted? I'd prefer a s/f door on the veranda because I suspect that if they're closed and the veranda window is down that would produce a more traditional balcony feel. Also, the doors could be closed and allow some privacy for someone in the cabin area, while someone else is in the veranda area. I'll be on Beyond in October for my first transatlantic.

Yes there are doors that shut the veranda out onto its own. They open from the wall and I forgot to demonstrate those in the video. The window does have a bit of tint to it so it’s not incredibly hot when it’s closed. I hope you have a great trip on Beyond, she’s going to be amazing! Thanks for watching!

I look at that veranda and it just doesn't feel as open as a standard balcony to me. I utilize the balcony a lot when I'm cruising. It's my favorite place to unwind and have a drink and enjoy the ocean breeze. I also love having breakfast on the balcony, but when I look at this Edge balcony I just don't get the same open vibe. I guess I have to experience it.

I understand where you’re coming from. It might be something that has to be experienced to be better appreciated. But a lot of people still prefer the traditional balcony.

I'm sorry but this is not an aqua class suite but an aqua class cabin. All suites have traditional balconies.

Make sure to dine at Blu for breakfast and lunch, it’s the only times they are open, but it is delicious and the service is amazing. This was worth the entire upgrade to me. The spa benefits are great also, take advantage of the thermal suites!
