I never knew that cemetery was so big great video Kurt maybe you could do a Filming Locations video for the new Michael Jackson movie when it comes out great video Kurt really enjoyed it as always 👍
Forest Lawn is awesome. When I'm in town from Detroit, I try to stop by. Visited Lemmy a couple of times. It's just kind of cool to think you're only a few feet away from your idols. Great video, Kurt!
This was a cool video. If your location video is taking too long, go ahead a wing one of these out for us. Too bad you missed that Tower Records makeover, I would have enjoyed your reaction to it. The photo you showed looks very accurate.
@@80sLife hey no problem,u have the patience to find everything perfectly...I appreciate it and I'm sure ur other followers do,I work nights with my K9 partner Jerry Lee...and I watch at night..very entertaining...which gives me a idea....any thoughts on doing locations for the movie K9 the first original one that came out in 1989...starring James belushi...great movie if u haven't seen it (that's why I named my partner Jerry lee)...chk it out...(the first movie was the best)
We used to live right up the street from the main entrance to Sunny Slope cemetery in Corona. Growing up we would play ditchem and tag at night in the graveyard
Forest Lawn in Glendale was quite revolutionary when it opened. Instead of a conventional graveyard with lots of ornate monuments and tombstones they wanted someplace with natural beauty and only ground level markers.
@@moonwalker_818 I got mixed up because Michael Jackson was in the title and he's in Glendale. It still works anyway. Glendale was the first Forest Lawn Cemetery.
I visited LA last year (my second time) to film some Michael Jackson locations, and during this trip, I visited Forest Lawn to pay my respects at Michael Jackson's resting place, but I had no idea there were multiple Forest Lawns, that's why in the beginning of your video, I was confused like, why does it look so different lol, Thank you for sharing another great vid, love your content
FYI Arthur Dark does a fantastic informative job on celebrity graves on the Hollywood Graveyard RU-vid channel(For those that are interested) Such an informative video as always Kurt; Great work 👍
THANKS FOR THE GRAVE TOURS ,, SAD!!! BUT YOU HELP US TO FIND THEM AND VISIT THEM....THE GRAVE AT THE SAME CEMETERY WHERE YOU WERE TRING TO FIND RE-RUN... THE VETERAN WITH THE HOLE IN THE GROUND ON YOUR OTHER VIDEO NEAR THE HEAD STONE I REPORTED IT AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD FIND IT AND REPAIR THE AREA ,, THANK YOU FOR SEEING THAT AS A VETERAN IT BOTHERED ME MUCH!! OR ANY ONE....PEACE...
80s life it's okay to film in the graveyards there's a lot of 80s performers and actors that lived to be alive they're there now but it's okay there's celebrity stars😊😊
Rainy days are the best days for cemetery tours. I enjoy walking around in them. I've been to that particular Forest Lawn a few times now. I visited Matthew Perry's grave soon after his funeral. I did night security at the Long Beach one, and my wife played the organ for services at Hollywood Hills. She played at Brittany Murphy's funeral in 2009.
I’ve been to both cemeteries. I visited Dio and Lenny. The Glendale one my Aunt and Brother in Law are buried there. I also visited MJ and left flowers.❤
Thanks for the video. I liven in Glendale below Foresr Lawn on Glendale avevue, where the church is at top. They actually have a nice museum on top next to the church
not quite so uplifting as memories of the san fernando vallley. cant think why... great vid as usual kurt. first heard ace of spades on tony hawk skateboarding. more of an acdc and gnr fan.
Wow! What a surprise that Motorhead' s vocalist has passed away. He performanced the Triple H' s song (un WWE) the game and it was the first time i heard about that singer. Now i know his real name, and that the band is named motorhead, RIP.
Lamont at Large does good graveyard videos. He does a respectful and honors the person that passed while sharing their grave. Some are famous people and some are just interesting tombstones or graves with a window.
I personally met Lemmy in the mid 80s when they were opening for Alice Cooper. He was a very down to earth Person. He offered and hand made Me a bourbon and coke. He was the real deal.
I never used to be much of a cemetery person either, but this one is really beautiful. If for some reason I died before my wishes were known, I'd hope I'd be buried in a place like this. I am hoping to be composted.
Let's not go to the cemetery often Kurt makes me sad knowing all are beloved tv shows, singers and movie stars are there i feel old with one foot in the grave now?
Please, can you make a video about the locations of Like Father Like Son from 1987 with Dudley Moore, there is no video of locations from this film, I'm waiting for more, thank you very much.
Whew.... So good to hear, not going to be getting into the grave visit thing I noticed a year or so ago, a lot of RU-vidrs, once they build up x amount of subscribers, start doing these , like a lot Scott On Tape, Daze.. a few others And they stop doing the more extensive videos that got them to those subscriber numbers I mean, I get it... you now have a built-in audience that automatically watches,(the Woo) So why not just walk around a graveyard, tell a few facts off Wiki, and show the grave.. and not do the more creative videos that got you to that level of subscribers Different strokes, but I never understood the grave thing. Now show the actual locations of infamous crimes, deaths etc.. different story Yes, PLEASE don't go down that path Side note, Six Million Dollar Man Bionic Woman reunion could be a good one, Some Long Beach and Seal Beach, LA locations And That Thing You Do, (I know of a never before show locale from that )
