Darrell Hammond played Sean Connery, and Norm Macdonald played Turd Ferguson. Norm also wrote most, if not all of the celebrity jeopardy sketches. He was a comedy genius.
In the show My Name Is Earl they kinda make a reference to the Celebrity Jeopardy thing where they have a character named Chubby played by Burt Reynolds, and a later point they introduce his son played by Norm McDonald doing his Burt Reynolds impersonation.
Do more Norm Macdonald! Whether it's talk show appearances, stand-up, Weekend Update jokes, or clips from his podcast, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the way his jokes sneak up on you.
You should do a deep dive on Norm MacDonald clips. Very eccentric but hilarious comic and respected by all the greats. Would love to see your take on his style of comedy. His appearances on Late Night with David Letterman would be a great place to start.
This episode of Celebrity Jeopardy just reminds me I should say "I despise you" before quickly moving on at work, because I sympathize for fake Trebek's plight.
I wish there was a way for you to watch these in chronological order as they appeared, because they start quasi-serious and get more absurd with each skit.
Kate Mc Kinnon had the best Justin Bieber impression I had ever seen. The voice and the mannerisms were spot on. When she did a parody of Justin’s Calvin Klein commercial, I laughed my lungs out! 😄
As I always, love what you do! Honestly don't know if I'm sad or excited that snl celebrity jeopardy is new to you?! Love the first time reactions but somehow I feel like you missed out on some sort of experience seeing it as they were on. Always one of the best. Another great running skit with Keenan is "what's up with that" features a ton of great actors/comics.
More, more, more 🙂 oh please...sorry about that. Other skits from SNL you may like are The Californians, Schweaty Balls (this one will make you cry), and anything with Kate
08:00 Wait a minute, I've seen all these and I forgot about that "joke." I happen to have that book: Pissing in the Snow and other tales, a collection of Ozark and Hillbilly blue stories, and that's the title story. Two old guys out walking in the snow see the first guys son's name "peed" out on the snow, when the second guy suddenly knocks him in the jaw. When he asks him why he got punched, the second old fella says "Don't you think I can't recognize my own daughter's hand writing ??"
For those that hadn't read Tom Sawyer, Jim, the escaped slave that Tom was helping, was commonly-referred to as "N-word Jim" (as poked fun at by Family Guy) It'd also be worth watching some of MAD TV's offerings, especially Debra Wilson's recurring character Bunifa.
Norm Macdonald was hilarious. He is so missed. Love the Sean Connery and Burt Reynolds impressions. Kate McKinnon is playing Justin Bieber. She has the best impressions and characters. Definitely one to watch best of Kate McKinnon.
Hey Boyd, why do you put a screen over your videos now? I have seen alot of the clips on other ration channels, and they don't cover it up. Just a question.
Alec does such a good Tony Bennett. He seems like he's a prick but he does have comedic chops. lol And Kate is so weird as Justin Bieber its hard not to crack. lmao
I miss Norm…glad I got to meet him at work at the gate before his passing.. I really wanted to say to him ohh hey Turd Ferguson….Sad that he’s no longer around
Kate McKinnon has done several sketches as Justin Bieber and you should really watch them because she is so good at the impression....well she is really good at everything but her Justin Bieber is the best
That is correct. This particular sketch was on the 40th anniversary show. Norm started writing them years earlier. By this time, as you can see, the whole thing had dissolved into silliness. Delightful silliness.
@@stuartstogdill2406 maybe I should have said it was mainly Norm McDonald’s idea to do the skit. I do recall seeing the skit on the other show but I had forgotten until you mentioned it. I just meant that the person who wanted to do the skit was Norm M because he wanted to play Burt R.
@@stuartstogdill2406 It was both. Norm wanted to play Burt in a sketch and remembered the Halfwits sketch from SCTV. He even called Eugene Levy who wrote that halfwits sketch to ask his permission to do it and he said yes and Celebrity Jeopardy was born
On SNL, Weekend Update newsmen are Colin Jost and Michael Che. This will be the last one for 2022 and they write jokes for each other that they haven't seen until they read them live on air. It's always over the top and funny. Please give it a look.
The Great singer Tony Bennett ❤️ still performing in his 90 Check out Amy Winehouse duet. He did a whole album with great singers that wanted to perform with him..Lady Gaga also on album... Tony Bennetts probably most famous song...I left my Heart in San Francisco...Tony is better live....
