I literally hate cycles, that's why i hate 8b, and I'm not going to get the golden on 8b because I hated it

i had way more problems with the one in 2b but maybe that's just because i did 2b so early and haven't had enough experience in the game (1a,1b,2a only) and for 7b i aready had experience from 1a,1b,2a,2b,3a,3b,4a,4b,5a,5c,6a,6b,7a

@@NinjarioPicmin you know what, that cycle was a nightmare because I did the same thing as you. Don't think I found the cassette in 1a first time around but 2a cassette was really easy to find. So obviously I had to play it. No joke I still have trouble with it lol.

if you're talking about dream blocks then most people do know about this it's required for the first room of chapter 2 c side

I've been stuck at the one at 0:58 for several sessions and multiple hours, now. I've sort-of got neutral jump wall climbing down, which is getting me to the dash refresh crystal on a good day, but I can never make that last jump. I either need to keep practicing that neutral jump wall climbing in that room, or switch strategies to trying to get a spike jump so that the dash isn't spent at the beginning, like TGH does here. Of course, that's way harder to do, but I might just be dumb enough to waste an hour trying.

@@thunder7433 yeah, I did eventually get it using that trick where you bind a second button to jump to make spike jumps easier, combined with a lot of neutral wall jumping. I never really approached Celeste without speed strats, though of course it took me forever to be able to do even the simplest ones with any sort of consistency, and there are still more I've never pulled off on purpose yet. I got interested in Celeste after watching speedruns of it.

there's an easter egg in the game. in the prologue, if you go to the left (the screen with the madeline's car) and insert a button sequence the game will get into the cheat mode (it's not to be confused with the assist mode). cheat mode unlocks all the levels and golden berries in the game. assist mode let you change gameplay settings (such as your amount for example) no speedrun categories allow you to use cheat code except for all A, B and C sides.

Well a human can pull off a demo dash if they're really skilled, or there is a setup. The difference is that there is no limit to the amount of demo dashes a TAS can do (frame-by-frame editing tools and stuff) so you see them more in TAS. Unless you mean ultra dashes? I got them confused before too. Ultra dash is the downward diagonal dash jump that provides insane speed. It's actually really easy to do and it's a required strat for 8-c. Demo dash is when you crouch dash through spikes and stuff.

He even pulled one off while playing with an upside-down mod, in only four tries: clips.twitch.tv/SneakyScaryAubergineRiPepperonis ... note also that the inputs required are slightly different due to the upside-down mod: you have to press up to crouch, not down, so he also couldn't use his demodash button (which is bound to dash and down I think?)

It also depends on how big the gap is you're trying to squeeze through. While the 3A demodash is pixel-perfect, the three consecutive demodashes of chapter 9's demodash room have a few pixels of margin, so for example Eenox could do these consistently enough to include the demodash room in a chapter 9 golden berry run, for the memes.

It's just a walljump but pressing the jump button for a very short amount of time.

It’s a frame perfect wall bounce. Before you reach the next screen, you have to press jump and release it. If you do it properly, it kicks you off the wall enough that it cancels your momentum. It’s frame and pixel perfect though, I’m pretty sure. I’ve not been able to get it yet.

It's called a "demo dash", basically with specific input you can crouch while dashing, which gives you a smaller hitbox, and you can sometimes pass through spikes like that at certain points.

Most notably the pixel perfect dash at 3A Ya know, the one where oshiro is seen making dust bunnies. You can demodash through them. (It's pixel perfect tho so don't even think about it) And the classic demo dash room in 9A. You can attempt it there. It has some leeway.

Diagonal to the top right is possible only if your previous dash through the dream block was a demodash. So yes, it is possible and faster.

Grab is R2, not L2. If you single-step through the frames around 5:47 where he uses L2, it appears to be a second jump button, to be able to jump twice faster than you can conveniently release X and press it again. (Note when looking at it frame by frame, be mindful that his input display appears to lag behind game video by one or two frames)

@@Pnic1193 In the default mapping sure, but teej evidently changed it. In the example I mentioned he's tapping L2 while continuously holding R2, which would be nonsensical if both mapped to grab.

In the prologue, go left into the screen with Madeline's car. Then do Left, Right, Tab*, Grab, Up, Up, Down, Left, Grab, Jump *(on controller, use left trigger)

He is jumping off the corner between the spikes. His hitbox doesn't touch the spikes.

Dash diagonally down and right and jump. If you delay the jump for the exact right amount of time, you can regain your dash and still get the jump

Sorry for the late response, there’s actually a secret code you can input in the prologue which unlocks everything in the game, which also auto completes Prologue.

I did all of them and never streamed in my life. I even speedran some of them.

@RagingThunder though I not understand the appeal of Fortnite myself, acting elitist about whatever game you play feels cheap to me. Let people enjoy whatever the fuck they wanna play man.
