This level, explicitly, was as a loving send up of the game's speedrunning community after it really got going. The devs implemented a lot of movement tech that speedrunners were already using as intentional parts of the level design, so particularly skilled players who know the tricks actually have a lot more pathing options. It's actually really cool to see the speedrunning community not just acknowledged by a game's devs, but actually outright embraced.
The death of my previous college professor is something I'm kinda struggling (kinda still in denial.. just a bit.. like I know she's gone but then I don't wanna think that way.. that maybe she's still alive and it was just a misunderstanding with the news I've heard.. ) so watching the storyline of this part helps.. I also don't have enough hearts to do this, not even for the core..
Both Core and Farewell requires ultimate grinding, so I understand. Though I managed to get through Core, it took me two hours only to get through the 8 minutes of this video. One day I would finish this game, just not today
Nice Job finishing the game. Must be a heck of a ride to getting it though all the way to the very end. and also dat death count tho, making me want to faint just by looking at those ridiculous numbers!!!
it's not that much. I have something like 4000 but i'm not sure. I am currently on this level and can't get out to the map. But i have over 20000 death for the entire campaign including b-sides and some c-sides
Thanks for putting this together for people like me that aren't as good or have the time and patience to 100% games like these, but still wanted to experience what these insane last levels are like, and the story bits that come with it :'D
@T.K.O I agree it would be better without the cuts in the music. But it would be difficult to do because it's not one song playing over and over again but different music with transitions between them.
