I find it kinda scary how Celeste can switch between “calm and composed lady” to “I’M GONNA RIP OFF YOUR KNEECAPS AND FORCE YOU TO EAT THEM IF YOU DON’T GET OUT OF MY SIGHT RIGHT NOW!!” in a heartbeat.
My most fav quote from her is: “In the game of survival neither the strongest nor the smartest have the advantage, but those who are most willing and able to adapt. The most pliable” “MY NAME IS CELESTIA LUDENBERG GODDAMN IT”
@@randunker those are rather cultural not aesthetic wise, their outfits are inspired by the culture not vice versa, kiyo died with his culture and celestia died in the culture she wanted to belong in, the reason for kirumis execution is shes prime minister and at the start the people with the signs could simbolize her people not being satisfied and the strand of agony is a japanese folk tale about dead criminals having a chance of leaving hell by climbing a spider thread
@@adriiii23 In that case, Kirumi's execution really is based on her outfit, because her outfit has spider web details, and her execution is inspired by a tale where people climb a spider thread.
Celestia was WAYYY too smart. If she didn’t slip up by saying “they were” she totally would’ve gotten away with it…she was SO very close to getting away with it.
Does any else just love her vocabulary. The way she talks plus the soothing voice she has (when she’s not going batshit crazy) is alluring. Props to the VA
celestia is so quiet till the kiyotaka/hifumi murder and in her trial she participates way more on trying to find the culprit and put the blame of yasuhiro
Raushan Mateen No, Celes told him to look for something that could be used to blame Hiro, something to cover his face. But he came up with that stupid useless Robo Justice costume
Yea. Hifumi was just an idiot. If he'd known the rules like he was supposed to, he'd know that even if they both killed separate people that only one of them would be able to escape. Anyone of the other cast would have been suspicious of her plan immediately because of her cold nature
The unfortunate part about Celeste’s execution was that she originally had such a gothic execution that was rather fitting for her. Annnnddd then Monokuma decided to enforce despair onto her one last time by killing her with an automobile. Edit: Since people are still saying this over a year later, I know it’s a fire truck, I was simplifying when I said car. They are both automobiles
All54321 Gaming it’s really unfortunate, celes-san was ok of being executed because her execution was “fit for a queen or a royal” that makes her unique because she hates being called as a normal average human being but then monokuma killed her with the most common deaths in the world which is being hit by a car
Chierxpre OwO Yeah but the point is she wanted to be unique, not ordinary as she hates being called that. She was going to be burned alive which would fit royalty or a queen but then Monokuma decided to plunge despair onto her by killing her in one of the most common ways people die, being hit by a vehicle.
I like her execution because she thought that she would die in a unique way, burned alive it’s not exactly common to die by fire But in the end she died a the hands of a truck which is more common as a unnatural way to die She must’ve been so angry when she heard the siren
@Jeremy Grandison let's say you would need to pay attention to her...she's dangerous, although if you want to be noticed by her, you need to be someone and not the first jackass on the street, then she might will start to treat you like a servant.
ZephyrLeopard Then she seemingly gives a crap about Hifumi being in danger, and becomes a bigger coward than her seemingly iron-nerves gothic unphased persona
I absolutely ADORE her anime VA’s performance as Celeste. Don’t get me wrong, I love the game one too, it is amazing. I love this one just as much though. The way she sounds when she is loosing her shit and screaming is amazing. Since it’s just line after line in anime and not having to click through each dialogue box (if you don’t have auto on that is), it’s just pure bliss for her to suddenly go from “this is fine” to “ARE YOU DEAF AS YOU ARE *THICC* “ is stunning. I love love love Celeste as a character and her game and anime performance is one of the best I’ve personally seen.
Now that I think about it, we can notice how her personality suddenly changes while they discover Hifumi's and Ishimaru's bodies. I mean, she suddenly worries more about dying and about the others, which I suppose it's to hide that she murdered them.
NO, THAT'S WRONG! I read this exactly at 1:36 so it sounded like she was narrating your comment I actually agree with you her persona changed she used to be some cold, distant goddes type but then she became so supportive
In the game her personality went from 0 to 100 like she went from "let's just live like this :3" And so calm to "OMG WE ARE GONNA DIEAA AAAH" That just didn't fit her at all
Spoilers You know what's so horrible and despair inducing about her death? The dream she killed for? It died about 2 years prior. The truth is that the world outside is post apocalyptic and her dream would never become a reality if she won.
Plus she also knew she wouldn't achieve it any longer, with how she agreed to stay inside the school before her memories were tampered by Junko. She trusted her classmates enough to stay inside during the Tragedy when she could have just shun them away and find a way to survive outside, yet she chose not to and would rather seclude herself from the outside world. Honestly, the memory tampering on Celestia was the second worst one because she wouldn't need a reason to kill and escape if the world was in ruins.
@@ghulam237 Then again, isn't that the common trope for third case killers? Delusional? Even still, I guess my motive for the third case wouldn't be too far off from the others to be honest.
Hmm, I wonder what your reaction was as you begin to realize that your death would no longer be as noble as you thought it would thanks to a little two-faced bear? 🤔
@Jeremy Grandison yes she said when she was going to get executed she said i will be reborn again then naegi said then your gonna get punished again celeste laughs and goes to kirigiri then she said see you on the other side
Honestly I think that she was one of the most clever characters in the anime. She was close to making it out of the game and I think she is one of the greatest characters personally
@maciejl20 I think she was executed with a truck because Celeste hated being normal, and because car accidents are not of the most common causes of death, Monokuma gave her a false hope thinking she would be executed how she wanted, like a princess, only to be ran over by a car like a mere commoner
@@maroberson74 Actually, I think she was either already dead from the flames or died by the fire truck. A 50/50 chance of either one happening, fitting end for the Ultimate Gambler.
You know... I wonder what it could have been like if Celeste survived the game. I mean when I first saw her I knew deep down "Yeah she's gonna kill someone", but Togami got to live and she didn't?
She's likely gonna get the same treatment as Togami did, but it would be even better for her to have her character develop from someone who puts on a flamboyant facade and is deeply insecure of her life as a normal girl to a mentally strong person who was able to overcome her identity crisis and learns to accept herself for who she really was.
@@veebehamfil I think she WAS a girl who was insecure about herself in the past she wasn't always Celestia ludenburg she was just a plain girl such as taeko yasuhiro, I think she said something about her past that said she and her family had no care for each other so she didn't bond with them at all so all she had was her cat that was when she became Celeste *(not sure though)* she was loner so it proves why she was a cold hearted person she would probably still be Celeste but in better development
@maciejl20 agree, she might have seemed better because a lot of the other danganronpa characters were there to provide necessary dialogue for the plot, and she was often furthering the plot. same with togami, kirigiri, and toko (maybe a few otherstoo)
