I am so tired to be on celexa (8 years) 40 mg 😞 I don’t have a depression, I have a panic attack. And as soon as I start to taper , it’s bring me to panic again ( the worst thing I can’t breathe at that moment and it’s scary me )

How are you now? I would go on a anti depressant temporarily to get you back to normal and then get of them as soon as possible.

Citalapram for sleep problems caused me to hallucinate, cused slme hair loss a sore scalp and these bumps on my head,so l al most got kicked from my doctor and clinic.I only used it for 3 months.I had to learn the truth as i am a very decent and sane person. All prestigious medical hospitals plainly said that tbhat medication causes hallutionations, confusion, and such.My question is why would they prescribe so freely and not recognize whan that patient has a men tal status change?thanks for your website.Grace Puelma

what is the difference between Celexa and Lexapro?.....I have heard that they can give you bad dreams that seem real......I am on 1 mg. for sleep on a drug called klonopin and I think that is making me depressed.

There is nit much difference on paper, but everyone is different

Benzos like klonpin or xanax are centrel nervous system depressents. So yeaahh... They make you down..and 1mg def carries into the next morning. I highly recommend an ssri. Because it reuptakes serotonin..and keeps you more at homeostasis..however you could still feel "flat" on that as well if you take too much.

@@Seanfilmedthis Yes, but I have tried an SSRI and it gave me insomnia and MORE anxiety.....and then if it doesn't work after 4 to 6 weeks, you have to withdraw.....just like being on a benzo......

@@dianelindenberger6941 Correct.

Be very careful with klonopin. The withdrawls from a benzo is 100x worse than ssri withdrawls. And withdrawls from klonopin/benzos can cause death.

You said the half life of Citalopram is 48 hours but according to all the info online it is 36 hours. That's a big difference. Was it an error on your behalf?
