I've collected several Celines, largely based on your reviews: Black Tie, Nightclubbing, La Peau Nue, Rimbaud. I prefer Rimbaud to Jersey and Black Tie to SDV, which is still amazing but too sweet for me at this stage. I like La Peau Nue for bed and Nightclubbing for evenings out. The iris theme through their entire line really speaks to me.

Funnily I reached for this randomly this morning. I think it's a well-made, dirty vanilla, there's a heaviness that balances out the sweetness with a bit of the grit hedi slimane is known for in his grungy / rocker aesthetic. It's quiet (little sillage) but it lasts all day on fabrics. Both have their values, but I think Grand Soir is the better bet if you can only have one.

Great take! Couldn't agree more with going to Guerlain for vanilla. Somehow I think that'll never change for me. It's all about balance. 🙏

Hi Eugen! I feel the same about vanilla perfumes.👍 😉 But after testing Black Tie, I enjoy it very much ( not love at first sniff).So comforting!! I have got my Black Tie yesterday. It is more modern than Spiritueuse Double Vanille.

Tried your samples this week, and I love all three. I'm a sucker for roses, so I think I will be saving for 'le douleur exquise'. It's like the lovechild of 'Antaeus' and 'Portrait of a lady'. Lovely stuff, Eugen.

Went to celine to smell some of them yesterday and Black Tie is fantastic, even vanilla is not my fav I think this is fantastic,,, very impressed by Reptile as well, will need to go again soon to smell some others, thanks for sharing!

YeaaahhhhhBuddyyyyy. I love Vanilla scents like Tobacco vanille TF Orchide vanille Van cleef Cuir de nuit by yves roches NOT Ani hate that scent worst vanilla i ever smelled

Did you smell AMOUAGE Vanilla Barka / Vanagloria . Suppose to smell like Babycat

I think vanilla barka is the best of the three… I used so much of it I caused a dermatitis reaction on my skin… now I really can’t use it much so I’m looking for a good replacement vanilla… the other two just don’t compare in my opinion. Still searching

Nah. Although DHI might be my all time favorite scent, I’d say Black Tie has its place. It’s a very light and gorgeous vanilla. Huge fan (and like it more than my 2006 vintage Argent!)
