I post first impressions, unboxing videos, fragrances reviews and livestreams quite often I do consider myself a perfume purist with very traditional taste for fine French perfumes and the classics I hope you, just as I found, whatever it is you seek, thru the beautiful world of perfumes.
I appreciate your videos as they are literally a perfume digital encyclopedia for people who are deeper than wanting the "10 compliment getters" and would like to know specifics
Eugen, I know it’s been 4 yrs since you posted this but I have to comment. I’ve been watching you for ages but needed to comment here. Man I wish we were neighbors so we could have joint impression discussions, bc every word you spoke from the colors to the textures to the “feel” and of course scent impressions was like you downloaded my thoughts and said them yourself. And then when you spoke about Portrait of a Lady, too, with colors etc and “seeing” scents in your imagination (and being mystified by comments comparing or paralleling POAL and Monsieur, as I am haha)… I was gobsmacked. Looking forward to watching more! I’m not kidding, I’d be game to come up with a joint perfume list and do a color impression comparison. I’d be so curious how many we’d agree on. I’m betting several.
I'm super late to the comments but I own 3 bottles of Encens Mythique (each of them different packaging but... So far as I can tell... Only one serious reformulation) and I LOVE that perfume so so so much... I have a SEALED bottle of Ambre Eternel that should be at my door by Tuesday or Wednesday this week latest and it will be the first time I've smelled it... Didn't want to lose the chance!! Hope it is as great as I've heard...! As for Santal Royal... I thought I was really missing something but... Seems there's another guy whose feelings on that perfume are similar to mine which, I do admit, was slightly validating... Luca Turin also didn't like it so I don't feel so bad... I think it is the cheapest smelling of the entire bunch... Take a whiff and think "lataffa" and you can't deny the reality... (So sorry Thierry ... I do love MOST of what you create!!)
Damn. Missed this live. I got mine as well recently. I need to spend more time with it but it’s okay for now. The performance was a bit disappointing compared to other real Ouds I have. I still need more time with it though but it’s not a love right now.
It tried it at Le Labo shop. At first was oh, wtf is this. Strong, musky and dark. Very unique. Now I am searching it to buy, because it was discontinued.
Pour Monsieur is so good, I have the edt Concentree and have the edp on the way from a fellow fraghead. I’m not a fan of Blue de Chanel or Sauvage, any version. They’re just basic trendy frags in my opinion. Chanel’s other offerings are way better than those two lines.
I absolutely love this scent and is one of my favorites from the les exclusif line. I have a brand new bottle and an old bottle and I find the old bottle to be a lot more deeper, richer and stronger. Most of the fragrances from this line unlike other perfumes just gets better as it ages and this one is no different. An absolutely beautiful scent and probably one of my favorite fougeres in my collection.
Hi Eugene I posted here the 1st time I tried Belle Âme and my sample and I today I finish the sample after 5 wears . It's exquisite and gives me good feelings😊. Each time I wore it, the scent stayed with me all day, like a lovely happy cloud. Several people who got near my personal space asked what beautiful perfume I was wearing. I decided to save the last few drops to wear in my visit to Geneva, where I used to live, to see if I could detect additional notes to what I get n London, where I now live. I sprayed the last few drops this morning before going for a walk along the Geneva lakefront. The main difference was a much stronger iris note in the opening. A gorgeous iris.💛. I got to the end of my sample, but I'm keeping the empty vial in my handbag, just to sniff during my workday or commute on the tube when I need a pick me up. Belle Âme is now on the top of my wish list, surpassing my forever number 1, Angélique Noire. Hopefully I will be able to treat myself with a bottle of Belle Âme for Xmas and my birthday. I hope Les Abstraits will be sold in UK retailers in the near future.
Just Dumped more money for Portrait of a lady. Tired of feeling nuts...tired of loving a fragrance and feeling Dumb for feeling disrespected. Fighting the nose of what i think vs what others will combat "the noise" Which just helps continue to... They just keep getting weaker and weaker. Make peace, love the new crap experience. Navigate what your given to hold on to what you loved...then they do it again. (Bought the lotion...body butter. Thinking. Stronger as the set. HAHAHAHAHA. They got me! This is worth 50...60bucks Maybe. Not to mention. Sprayed a new tee ta see if "im crazy...negative"...(as you lite up! See me also. Thinking "oh, the cigarettes are affecting you senses. Nope) ...tee lost the fragrance (that originally Stayed on a scarf for Yeeeears. 100%!) Chanel...and I'll Wrap up my rambling. My 80s..maybe maybe early 90s EDT N⁰19. Weeeeeird That'll stay on my hand for Hours. Weird (sarcasm) but my (3days old) POL on the tee. Other hand...yea no. It's life went from 100% to 6% I have to move on, Obviously. But stiill just irritated that i have to...for the price. (Like being robbed and Everyone tells you your not.) *arguing at the air, over.
I really wanted to know if the different packaging really made a difference in scent... I do feel reassured now as the price difference between these two bottles is HUGE... I really want to believe it smells the same (I only have an old bottle and need to replenish and wasn't sure about the larger new(er) bottles.....
I’d fight someone over guilty absolute. Only guilty worth owning for me. Bought 100ml and when I got it in immediately backed up with a 150ml. Another great discontinued by a major house
I used it today in ages, and I had it on all arvo (afternoon) it’s so cloying and nauseating. Next time I will use one spray on my wrists only, and no where near my neck nose or face. Gawd 😮 it’s a punish
