I just started study medicine one week ago and already, I do nothing else. These videos are probably going to be the reason, I pass my exams properly and going to be a knowledgeable doctor. Thank you very much for all you've done and all the videos to come!
Zach you are amazing! So close to 900K subs mate! Whenever I see your videos, I am so grateful. 3 Videos in 3 Days . In Soccer you would be Hat Trick Hero. In Basketball you would be MVP
Please make video on some tips for studying and How to make effective notes and how to keep maintain focus.. I know there is a lot on videos on RU-vid but you are deep explainer so it will be helpful.. Thanks in advance 😇
Best thing is to make notes form videos lecture or you can do another thing you can also make notes form the different books material and also from google and makes different diagram and writes in your own words as it will be easy for your revision.
I love all of your videos, Zach! So helpful in all my courses I’ve taken thus far and I’m just 2 semesters away from graduating, then onto graduate school 😃 you’ve made learning an enjoyable experience. Do you think you could make a video series of ways that YOU study? Since you clearly have retained so much information 😃 thank you!
Thank you so much You make my knowledge concrete! I have been studying biology with you. I hope you feel our happy 😊 Be safe from Covid19! Be always happy!
This channel is changing my life, no joke. 🙏🏻 I would be SO HAPPY if you did a lecture all about the Lymphatic system - especially how it works in conjunction with blood vessels - because I have lymphoedema and there is NO good information about this disorder out there. Thank you just a million thanks for what you guys do. So excellent 🏆

You are above my pay grade. Most of the things you talk about are just new to me. What I do not understand is if you know and understand so much, than why are you eating refined sugar and proceeded carbs. Looking at your size at the time the video was made you just look inflamed. Please tell me I am wrong. You should not be killing yourself. There is no such thing as bad LDL. All LDL is needed by the body. Most people after the age of 65 are shortening their life spam by lowering the LDL level. Lowering LDL level after age 75 is just very bad for that person.
It's absolutely not true that Fabry disease is only seen in men. We are learning more and more about x-linked diseases and women are no longer considered "carriers," but often develop symptoms, typically less severe than their male counterparts. Fabry disease, untreated is every bit as fatal if not treated in women - very dependent on level of x-inactivation. Please update your slides :)
my mun diagnose with fabry but i got test they werkd test but my boy has probs with legs and tummy prob but my doc not got a clue and because of covid i find hard to get check my bro has and one sis and mom but my bro sick 10 year before just by chance specilest was there because none off docters new anything about it.
I’m currently taking a paramedic class thank you for your videos. Tremendous help! For a future video topic can you do a video on med math . We were learning about IV piggybacks with dopamine drips of different Concentrations. Some of your clear explanation would really be helpful!
Don't often see anything on LSDs like this. Thanks for raising the profile. Woild like to see something on lysosomal membrane proteins especially NPC1 (Niemann-Pick 1 protein. Amazing small writing!
Thank you so much for the video, such a clear concise explanation. However, does anyone know why Tay Sachs and Nieman Picks present so similarly besides the hepatomegaly while Gaucher and Fabry dont. Also why does gaucher seem to affect the bone (is it because the enzyme that its deficient in is only found in that bone?)? What is the reason behind Fabry causing Angiokeratomas while the others are less likely? These might all be moot points, but Im just curious to know if there is an actual answer or if its just by experience that these are the most common presentations?
Hi Zach, Thank you so much for the amazing explanation, I have a question to share with you regarding the NPC disease (Niemann pick type c)! Out of this explanation, what is the possible consequences of following a low carb & high fat diet and Intermittent fasting on NPC cells and how consuming different kind of fat can increase or slow down the process of the disease in the cell level?
I memorized a chart for this section because I didn't understand the purpose of these enzymes in lysosomes. So basically what I think I'm getting from this video is that all the sphingolipidoses are due to defects in lipid metabolism. These lipids are all derivatives of sphingosine and are part of the cell membrane whether they are sphingomylelins, ceramides, cerebrosides, or gangliosides. They are not the same as TG that undergo beta oxidation, they are broken down in lysosomes and are either released in the cytoplasm or ECM via secondary lysosomes. They are used in the liver for LDL degradation, in all cells that undergo autophagocytoses, and in the WBC for pathogen degradation. Fabry is the only XR disease the rest is AR, Fabry and Gaucher usually present in adulthood whereas the other diseases present during childhood. Only gaucher disease may present with increased risk of infection due to pancytopenia, differentiating Tay Sach from Niemann Pick via hyperreflexia vs hyptonia and no hepatosplenomegaly vs hepatosplenomegaly.
As an old engineer I had a brain freeze about 1:00 in. Then about 10:00 when you talk about Receptor Mediated Endocytosis a few brain cells came out of hibernation connecting stress analysis and vibrations and I nearly had a stroke. I couldn’t even relate to nonlinear optics. Holey-Moley I guess I better start with basic biology. However, after a third go of it some synapses are forming.
Really,u r awesome n your videos r also awesome n very much helpful....thank you so much zach....lots of love (India)😍😍😍....please upload videos of all the cell organelles🙏
