Just ordered one of these. I've been using a We-Boost for a few years and it's honestly been good. These boosters do work, we're on the edge of a deadzone . The signal outside is poor, and what gets carried inside is even worse. Lately I'm getting drops, the signal is getting worse. I figure the WeBoost is on the way out. This had an $85 off coupon on Amazon, so trying it based off of your video. Nice work and thanks for the review so I could see it in action.

really helpful review - appreciate showing the apps and how they should work. I got lost trying to use it - they never showed cell, only my wifi - very confusing, Also when they say "turn on booster" there is no actual switch to turn on - this is also confusing. I think they mean just plug it in to power source and it will come on. - thanks again

Since the unit itself is an antenna, I’d place the 2nd antenna on the ceiling close by where your thermostat is, like a smoke detector so you have better distribution of repeated signal. Sometimes two antennas too close together starts to act funny. We installed a $20k cell phone booster at work, and all the indoor antennas (12 of them) had requirements for minimum separation.

Thank you for your videos! I thoroughly enjoy them. The one thought that crossed my mind is why these cellular booster systems don't utilize 2x2 or 4x4 MIMO antennas? Maybe I just haven't come across that yet.

Thanks Andrew for doing this video. I've been looking for something like this and I didn't know who to look at and who to trust on their equipment. It seems like when I want to know something you are reading my mind and you do a video about it. Will you be doing in that video on a second antenna to get signal out to your shop? I'm wondering if a second antenna is better (cheaper and easier) then get another cellular boost for my shop. I would like your input on us. Thank you for your time.

No because that second antenna is meant to stay close by this unit and cover a larger home. I installed a cell booster at my metal shop years ago and now have 5 bars of signal inside. Before I was losing all service inside.

I am from country Georgia and gonna have in Caucasus mountains where two GSM network companies are operating,both provides 4G 800 MHz (B20) would this booster work with this frequency? and second question please,as there is two company operating and we have little signal from both of them,can I choose the one I want to catch the signal from and boost it? or this amplifier does it for both signals at the same time or how this works? thanks a lot!

That I'm not sure, you would need to verify the specs with the manufacturer. I'm certain these are mostly setup for our countries towers.

Great video. I'm out in Bronson, FL on my own property and get terrible signal out here. I have satellite internet but it's 200 a month. I've been using a cricket hotspot to game with on the Xbox Series X but it's hard with no great signal. I think Cricket uses the ATT towers. I just had my whole roof redone and don't really want to screw one of these things into the side, would it work the same if I had a pole and attached it to that and ran the wires inside? I don't know if I can afford this booster in this video but maybe a cheaper one just to test out the tech. They're supposed to be doing fiber internet one day out here from Chiefland with central florida electric co-op but it could still be some years away.

None because the receiving antenna for the other system is outdoors. This system boosts signal inside and downward.

How many bars of signal do you have outside where the outdoor antenna is mounted? I've read some reviews that it will pretty much only bring that same signal indoors and not actually boost it higher.

I usually have 2-3 bars outside. Consistently see 4-5 inside. It's doing something.

We are in the process of building a new house that has metal siding and roof. I am concerned about the cell signal that we will get. However this is so expensive. Is there anything cheaper that works? Also I have netbuddy wifi router will it work for a cell booster

Yes they do make much cheaper versions, they're just not as powerful and won't cover as large of a home. You're going to block all cell signal with metal walls and a metal roof. The net buddy router does not Boost cell signal, but you can turn on Wi-Fi calling on your phone and call over the internet.

This is for cell signal, not internet or wifi. I do have videos on the channel of cellular internet and Wi-Fi routers.

I know what the video is about is why I said I have to use wifi because we have very poor cell signals out here but I will not be paying hundreds of dollars for a device just to have cell service at my house when wifi works for me until the power goes out@@TKCL

at the beginning of the vid, you explained that Hiboost asked you to review and test this new system, but then at the end, you said you weren't paid or compensated for doing so. which is it? not trying to be disrespectful, it's just you chose the original unit because of it's best bang-for-the-buck which I super appreciate, yet this system here is like 700+ dollars. is it worth the extra money?

Which is it? It's exactly what I said, I tested a unit and did not get compensated for it. Small houses like mine, save your money and go with their basic unit. Large shops our houses go with this unit since it has a much farther reach.

I have the hiboost, already, and just got the panel antenna, for internet, you recommended and after I mount it, we're going with Netbuddy. Now, how far do I have to have the panel antenna from the cell booster antenna? Can I mount them, like a foot or two from each other?

But. It won't cover the 600 mhz range which eliminates many 5G signals for rural areas. Thats where your speed is. It is illegal per FTC to sell a booster signal in a kit that will boost this frequency range, why I have no idea. . Sooo, you have to buy the 600mhz antenna separately. It does work I have been using it for 2 years Just replace the paddle antenna with one from Solid Signal that will cover 600 up.

I'm a little discouraged due to a $1000 investment made with Weboost and it does not give me the boosted signals. On the plus side i can buy the system you did a demo on from Amazon and if it doesnt work i can return. Might try that cause Weboost is poop!

That's a bummer, do you actually have signal at the property to boost? You need at least some cell signal. Amazon does offer a return if it does not work as advertised, just run some wires out the window and loosely install everything for a quick test.

@@TKCL i get 1 to 2 bars and I’m in the country with cleared open land. I’ve been using WiFi phone service ex google voice since I have very good wireless coverage with my network on the property. Inside my house I do not have any cell service due to me being inside a metal home/building but if I put my cellphone in the window I get 2 bars. I’ve had to depend on the window option a few times due to bad internet service but that’s been corrected now with Starlink. I’d like to get a cell booster to work that way I am not depending on internet to use my cell inside my house

To some it isn't, to some it is. If you have a large home or shop and are constantly dropping calls. That's extremely frustrating and it's worth the price. I own two other units I bought and paid for because the frustration was worth the investment.

It's honestly based on size of home in my opinion or if you are using your cellphone for internet and work related tasks. FYI it's $200-$600, this system isn't $800.
