Appreciate your reports. I went ahead and leased a NetGear NightHawk M6 through AT&T, which was very economical at $8.00 per month rental/payment to reimburse them $300 for the device. I also signed up for a data plan of $25.00 per month for 15 Gb. This meets my needs for the boat I use it on. With 2 bars of cellular service I usually get 40 Mb/sec data feed on the 2.5 GHz service and 100-150 Mb/sec on the unit's 5 GHz output. I feed the output into a powerful router that puts out both bands, since my printer uses only the 2.4 GHz band. It fills all my data needs for TV and the usual computer use. Thank you for your clarification of all the factors involved in these decisions for remote data.

I wish someone would a just make a 5g modem, or 4g modem with CAT 20 support for an affordable price. Moat people already have a good router or mesh system. Nearly all of the 4g/5g products on the market at the moment double as routers, and I think a large percentage of people looking at these products just want IP Passthrough capability.

Wow-this is complicated but appreciate all the info. Now if I can just figure out what is the best way to go. I have the AT&T mobile HOT SPOT fro FMCA, but I also have a Wineguard mobile antenna that is 4g and never been able to take advantage of it.

I always like your updates. I am struggling finding a cost effective plan for my Pepwave Max BR1 Pro mobile router. Are there any good pay as you go or pre-paid plans that don’t have regular monthly charges? We don’t use it in the winter, so monthly charges are not cost-effective for us.
@MobileInternetResourceCenter
Peplink offers their own plans that are not monthly - but they're quite pricey. Here's our guide to the current top pick plans: www.rvmobileinternet.com/planpicks and our guide to part-time use: www.rvmobileinternet.com/part-time

Looks like the Insty Connect now has an X62. Its an option on the order page you can pick X55 or X62 modem.

We published a story on that late last week and will have a video version out soon. www.rvmobileinternet.com/insty-connect-offering-x62-5g-modems-a-first-for-mobile-routers/

Hello. Thanks for posting such informative videos! I am interested in your Peplink BR1 PRO 5G cellular router which will be installed in my Mercedes S-class. My question is does you BR1 PRO have automatic cellular failover if one of the two carriers signal drops or is poor in the area I'm traveling in?
@MobileInternetResourceCenter
The BR1 Pro is a single modem router with dual SIM. It can failover to the second SIM, but it takes several minutes to do so. A multi-modem setup is what we personally prefer.

Todays current Consumer equipment are soo outdated are using 4x4 mimo modems, while phone carriers equipment are capable of 64x64 mimo
@MobileInternetResourceCenter
The carrier equipment is, but putting more antennas into small mobile gadgets is difficult - space for the antennas and power requirements are definitely considerations. We do expect to see 8x8 at some point.

Great info. I have 3 year old hotspot plans with Verizon and ATT, if I get a 5G capable hotspot, will my plans utilize it?

Depends on the specific plans - we are tracking that for our members.

qusetion how big of differ is the x60 from the x65 for smartphone user in weak area is it worth the very Hight ask price to upgrade phone a s21 plus or should i i wait a few year i some time see lot of jump all over the place in some arew like lte 5g evne eduge network then no network
@MobileInternetResourceCenter
The X65 has lots of advantages - including AT&T mid band coverage. Lots of smartphone review sites have done head to heads that you might want to seek out. We don't cover smartphones specifically here at MIRC.

Hello. I need some help. I need to have around 100 mbps for work. Can you help me?
@MobileInternetResourceCenter
That's a pretty high requirement - nothing really needs that much speed except perhaps multiple 4K video streams. And it's not frequently achievable in a mobile environment. Here's our staring place for working over mobile internet options: www.rvmobileinternet.com/working-remotely
