The first question on this section was about the overall topic of the article. Overall topic can be mentioned by reading the entire article. Are we supposed to answer this based on opening paragraph only? Do all the questions follow the order of content?
Hi! The first paragraph will introduce the topic of the article. In this passage, you'll notice that "funding for the arts" is mentioned twice in the first paragraph, which is a significant clue that the entire article will discuss this topic. Skimming the first sentence or two of the other paragraphs in the passage confirms our assumption as we see the words, "arts," and "artists" printed there. Most Reading questions will follow the order of the ideas discussed in the passage, but keep in mind that some questions require you to gather information from larger chunks of the passage. - Brandi
