Fantastic video. You solved my confusion about MFP. Before I thought that meaning is just the literal meaning of the grammar or the word; however, after watching your video, I know that meaning, in this case, stands for context. Thank you very much mister. Good job!
James Cannon's Q is right! I remember trying to teach the word 'candle' to an 'all Arab Students Class'. Just I as began to draw it on the board one student started singing "Happy B'day to you...'
thanks a million for people like you.. who share their hard earned knowledge for free... this video has changed my concept and way of teaching... I have been searching for such videos for such a long, long time.. God bless you Theo...
Thanks Theo for taking the time to share your notes. You are fantastic at explaining what's in your mind. This video was extremely useful for me and I'm about to start the CELTA course in one month. Cheers!
You are so clear and you are a great teacher..I want you to Know...Thanks for your pieces of advise and let me know if I can contact you in some way. I´m from Argentina and I´m an English Teacher.Thanks..
I haven't done the course yet but I think this is one of the big things they look for--to always make sure you explain a word in terms of simpler words! Even "candle" is probably a bit suspect. Wouldn't most books have a picture?
Dear Theo, I'd really like to thank you for having posted such an extremely helpful video, as it is filled with great ideas about both teaching and learning English. As a non-native speaker of English, I also thank you for helping us improve our listening skill. May you and everyone everywhere have a lot of peace, joy and harmony. And yes, we're all looking forward to your new posts. Thank you very much, indeed. Muito obrigada.
Theo, thank you very much for video. I've spent more than an hour watching it and taking notes. Your overview is clear and practical; it helped me a great deal with my preparation for CELTA.
Im about to do the celta course in thailand in february and this video was super helpful. even though im an experienced tutor it helps to hear what the celta will focus on. thanks!
Thanks Theo you are yourself an excellent teacher and presenter of ideas, thanks! Just about to embark on my CELTA and came across your really good vid.
Thank you so much, Theo. It's exactly what I'm studying now. I'm looking forwards to seeing more helpful and enjoyable videos from you! Have a wonderful day! :)
Thank you so much for this video. I have not only picked up some really interesting ideas and examples for lesson planning but this has also given me a really great insight on what to expect from the CELTA course! Thank you! Great video, highly recommend to anyone teaching or even learning in fact!
Really liked your descriptions of the various CELTA techniques. On my last week of the course and it is a nice, succinct summary of the masses of material one has to plough through in just four weeks. I hope you went on to become a trainer as you seem to know your stuff.
.i am extremely happy as have to demo teaching tomorrow using the techniques he taught us that day -two years ago to my fellow teachers of English .i am really realaxed seeing this thanks millions though condemn your video , it gave me an immense help to prepare my lesson .
Its a GREAT informative video. CELTA classes are more or less the same anywhere in the world. I did my CELTA at Muscat, Oman in 2008 and it was just the same as this one.
Great video! I didn´t plan to watch it all when I saw how long it was :)) but I ended enjoying it a lot. Great way of communicating , very structured, Congratulations! Dana.
You are the best!!! For half an hour I saw much more structured and logical information than I have got for a month of my Celta course (plus already three TPs, which drove me crazy as tutors say everything is wrong but how to do it better - think for yourself!!!) which still lasts)))
You're pretty awesome, Thanks for sharing this information. I just started teaching Adults online and your video is the most helpful video I've watched so far.
Hi. Been teaching in Taiwan for many years and you just gave me some new ideas. Thanks for that and your caring enough to share. Also, my compliments to the interior designer of the place you filmed in. I hope it's your place, because I hope good things for you. If you designed it, you don't need my wishes. Good day, sir.
great video! Although, I will say that I haven't had a student yet who didn't like phonemes. They pick it up exceptionally well and quickly. It helps with their pronunciation immensely!
Having just finished the CELTA course in Belfast, I really wish I had of look at the video..I have recommeded this to my friend who has just started the course in Dubai, thanks Theo!
